Like the proverbial fine wine, Brent “Boomer” Harvey appears to be getting better with age.

Last year was his best on pure numbers and the pocket battleship appears to be in prime physical condition. The only worry with Harvey is his tendency to get rubbed out regularly.

North have also been hitting the free agency market with a vengeance. I’m not sold on Jarrad Waite as a Fantasy option, though there’s a lot to like about Shaun Higgins with a dual DEF/FWD designation.

North aren’t traditionally a high scoring Fantasy team but they did change ther gameplan last year to focus more on retaining the ball. There’s also some bargains to be considered among the young players.

GET THEM IN

Brent Harvey (FWD/MID $565,000)

He’s not cheap but then he’s also ultra high quality. Thing about Harvey is that he’s remarkably durable and while he averages high, he also brings in big games when he gets a bag.

Andrew Swallow (MID $508,000)

Swallow is underpiced here for mine, which reflects his slow start back last year from an achilles injury. Is a reliable high scorer and should make some cash too

NOT WITH A BARGEPOLE

Jarrad Waite (FWD $455,000)

Waite is simply way too expensive at that price. I see him having an impact at North onfield, but not in any Fantasy way.

Daniel Currie (RUC $247,000)

If Goldstein is injured then yes, get him straight in, but otherwise he’ll be running around in the twos all year.

WORTH A PUNT

Trent Dumont (MID $120,000)

North weren’t shattered about losing Levi Greenwood because they knew they had Dumont waiting in reserve. He’s had a some off field issues in recent months but he’s dirt cheap and if he’s named, could rise quickly in price.

Shaun Higgins (FWD/MID $430,000)

Many a DreamTeam coach has come to curse the name of Shaun Higgins and his body made from brittle salt crystals. But he’s nicely priced here and has a handy dual position. Is allegedly training the house down too. As always.
