Let’s dive in and take a look at what to expect this weekend.

Port Adelaide v Geelong

First up, a blockbuster clash between Port Adelaide and Geelong, lighting up Thursday night. The Powerhouse that is Port Adelaide, on a staggering 10-win streak, is looking to make it 11 against last year’s victors, the Cats. Geelong has their claws out, though, hoping to claw back into the eight after their post-bye victory over the Western Bulldogs. It’s a tough call, but it’s hard to see anyone topping the Power at home. Prediction: Port Adelaide by 3-4 goals

Brisbane v Sydney

On to Friday night. The Gabba will be roaring as the Brisbane Lions take on the Sydney Swans. Brisbane’s stinging from their loss against Hawthorn, and the underperforming Swans better be ready to face some heat. With a line-up ready to exploit Sydney’s depleted backline, the Lions have this one in the bag. Prediction: Brisbane by 5-6 goals.

GWS v Fremantle

The Saturday showdown at GIANTS Stadium sees GWS Giants against Fremantle, a winnable game for both teams. Fremantle’s top-eight hopes took a hit last week, so they’ll be hungry for redemption. Despite it being a tight call, Fremantle may have just enough to snatch a victory. Prediction: Fremantle by about 3 goals.

Richmond v St Kilda

As the sun sets on Saturday, we’ll see Richmond host St Kilda at the MCG. It’s a clash of form and momentum as both teams come off recent victories. As we celebrate Cotchin’s 300th game, there’s just a hint that the Tigers might pull out all stops and reign victorious. Prediction: Richmond by a goal and a bit.

Carlton v Gold Coast

Sunday at the MCG kicks off with Carlton facing off against the Gold Coast. Carlton’s struggling with scoring while the Suns are hot off their best fortnight of the season. Considering Carlton’s current form, it’s hard to bet against the Suns here. Prediction: Gold Coast by 3 goals.

North Melbourne v Western Bulldogs

To round off the weekend, North Melbourne take on the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium. The Kangaroos are hoping to end their losing streak, but the Bulldogs, despite their recent losses, are expected to fight tooth and nail. The Bulldogs’ superior talent should carry them over the line. Prediction: Western Bulldogs by 5 goals.

That’s all for this week’s previews, footy fans. Stay tuned and enjoy the matches!
