Australia’s best young AFLW talent will be on display this Sunday as the 2025 Marsh AFL National Academy Girls take on the All Stars in a blockbuster talent showcase at RSEA Park in Melbourne.

Representing the Australia U18 team, the National Academy squad will wear the green and gold for the first of two scheduled matches this year, with their second fixture set for the King’s Birthday weekend in June.

The Marsh AFL National Academy brings together the nation’s most promising female footballers during their crucial Draft year. It’s more than just elite football—it’s a holistic program focused on performance, wellbeing, leadership and personal development.

Their opponents, the All Stars, were selected from AFLW club nominations and feature rising players born in 2006 and 2007. This squad blends talent pathway participants with emerging players now competing at senior level. Among them are returning National Academy members Emma Juneja, Tatyana Perry, and Ash Patton.

The All Stars will be led by experienced coach Craig Black, with AFLW players Jordyn Allen, Belle Dawes, and Lauren Wakfer assisting from the bench.

The National Academy Girls squad arrives in Melbourne Thursday for a three-day camp filled with high-performance sessions and team building before hitting the training track at AIA Vitality Centre and the NEC Hangar.

“It’s a proud moment for these athletes to represent Australia,” said Academy Manager Tarkyn Lockyer. “We’re excited to see them showcase their talent in the national jumper.”
