Collingwood has released its Round 7 injury and health update ahead of the highly anticipated Anzac Day match against Essendon at the MCG on Friday. Head of High Performance Jarrod Wade provided the latest on several key players.

Unavailable for Selection:
Darcy Moore
Moore sustained a laceration to his earlobe during the final quarter of last Thursday night’s game against Brisbane, requiring stitches. Although cleared of concussion, he has since developed inner ear symptoms that are now being assessed by the Club’s medical team. As a result, he will not be available for the Anzac Day clash. A further update will be provided in due course.

Injury and Rehab Updates:
Ash Johnson
Johnson continues to make good progress in his recovery from a broken fibula. He is now out of the moon boot and has entered the next phase of rehabilitation, which includes strengthening and plyometric training. He is expected to begin running in the coming weeks.

Lachie Schultz
Schultz is advancing well in his return from a hamstring injury. His focus this week is on high-speed running. He won’t be available for Round 7 but will be reassessed next week for a potential return in Round 8.

Fin Macrae
Macrae experienced a recurrence of a pre-season shoulder injury during Friday’s VFL match against Brisbane. Despite multiple instability episodes, he completed the game. After consultation with a specialist, he will undergo shoulder stabilisation surgery this week. Recovery is expected to take 12 to 16 weeks.

Tom Mitchell
Mitchell has returned to full training and will be carefully managed over the next two weeks. His return-to-play timeline will be reassessed after this training block.

Harvey Harrison and Reef McInnes (ACL injuries) continue their rehabilitation with positive progress.
