In news that will please anybody with eyes, Hawthorn have finally found a replacement for their notorious ‘White Power Ranger’ alternate guernsey.
The result of extensive fan design competition, the winning design was created by diehard Hawks supporter, Courtney Bree.
The 22 year-old graphic designer submitted multiple designs but told the Hawthorn website that there was a clear winner in her mind.
“I submitted a few designs, but I’m really happy with the one chosen – it was my favourite.
“It’s amazing, I’ve been a Hawks fan my whole life and it’s just so exciting to think that I will be a part of Hawks history and that Luke Hodge is going to run out in my guernsey,” Courtney said.
The runner up in the competition was designed by BigFooty member, Cody.
The new design will debut in 2017 and be worn in away games against West Coast, GWS and Adelaide.
So long White Power Ranger guernsey. You shall not be missed.
