For the seventh time in ten years, Joel Selwood looks set to record the most free kicks by an individual player this AFL season.
The Geelong champion has clearly had the best rub of the green this year, notching up 55 free kicks from 16 games at an average of 3.44 a game.
Selwood is 13 ahead of his teammate Patrick Dangerfield and 17 ahead of Adelaide’s Rory Sloane, both of whom have played one more game than Selwood.
Last Friday’s match against the Crows was the third time in 2017 that the Cats skipper had recorded six free kicks, the previous two instances being against Brisbane in Round 16 and Port Adelaide in Round 10.
