The AFL advises Richmond’s Trent Cotchin has elected to challenge his charge through a written submission to the Tribunal with the outcome to be communicated tomorrow, Wednesday August 3. All other players accepted their sanctions from the Match Review of Round 20.

Trent Cotchin, Richmond, has been charged with Misconduct against Dayne Zorko, Brisbane Lions, during the first quarter of the Round 20 match between Richmond and the Brisbane Lions played at the MCG on Sunday 31 July, 2022.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Misconduct. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction as a first offence.
UPDATE 4 August 2022 – CHARGE DISMISSED: Trent Cotchin, Richmond, had been charged with Misconduct against Dayne Zorko, Brisbane Lions, during the first quarter of the Round 20 match between Richmond and the Brisbane Lions played at the MCG on Sunday 31 July, 2022. The charge was dismissed.
