More than a decade after High Definition broadcasting began in Australia, footy fans will finally be able to watch AFL in HD on Channel Seven beginning this Friday, according to AFL.com.au.
The network’s reluctance to broadcast in HD has long been a gripe of footy fans, with the league’s other broadcasting partner Fox Sports using the higher quality standard for years.
The network has confirmed that all AFL matches will be broadcast in HD on Channel 70, Seven’s new channel, which went live on Tuesday.
