Yep - for some reason those two matches are in a different order on the AFL site. I must have had their start times wrong.

As we can see, a few people have been tripped up by the swapping of home and away teams this year.

Here's a poll for you to tell me whether, when the AFL swaps home and away teams, I should edit the fixture in the tipping system, or leave it as is.

Admin Announcement - If home and away teams are swapped late in the season, should the tipping options reflect this?

I have not changed the home and away team the couple of times they have been changed due to Covid issues. This is because tipsters who have already put their tips in would have had to know that they need to go back and edit their tips. Tipsters who have not put their tips in could see that the...

For my part, I think I should have at least posted in here to warn people that the fixture had not been edited to reflect the change. I hadn't thought I needed to, given the home and away teams are clearly marked in our tipping fixture.

Oh for goodness sake. I see what the problem was. The SCORES were entered around the wrong way. I was the one tripped up this week :)

Lions/Freo scores have been corrected.

All is well.

That makes sense mate - fair enough. I've been done both ways now (Coll-Bris the other) when the away team was granted as Collingwood (and the away team was actually Brisbane). NVM, I can do my own little +2 in my head ;). I can also pay closer attention going forward since I obviously care enough to have brought it up :)

House keeping:

First up, Slattery won the choccies in round 9 with 9 from 9. A year's Platinum has been awarded.

Second up, all the latest fixtures have been entered so you can tip up to round 15.

I might just enter the matches for the remainder of the year, then put in the times and dates when they are announced.

Hey Chief can the Freo-Swans game still be locked when that game starts despite being put under as a Sunday game, or will it have to be moved to where it's supposed to be?

Sorry - didn't see this message. Had a full weekend and have 160 alerts in my queue.

This game will not be scored. This sucks, but it is really the result of every game being entered individually from drop-down menus. It's tedious and open to error. One miss-click and it's the wrong date or time. We haven't been able to get a better system developed by the addon developer.

If you see this in future, send me a private convo.

If I can get in and see time stamps - no guarantee, again due to the way it's written - I might be able to retroactively add the score in later.

Very frustrating.

If you see a date or time or score error, send me a private convo which is much more likely to be seen more quickly. Alert another moderator or Admin too.

Understandable but still sucks to lose a tip (especially on an upset) when trying to chase down the leaders.

The Spartans hits 9 from 9 in round 11. Give that man a cigar or nicotine-free vape!

Round 12 sees some byes, but don't forget all about footy even if your team isn't playing. Get ya tips in - easier to get 6 from 6 than 9 from 9 :)

The West Coast v Richmond game has been added to this weeks fixture.

If you have already tipped, make sure you go back in and tip the Eagles v Tigers game or you will miss out.

Ditto. not there for me either. Just says "no tiebreaker submitted"

Tie Breaker Margin for Round 14

We had a little glitch so anyone entering their tips between 8:10 Thursday night and 10AM Friday was unable to enter a tie-breaker.

This has been fixed, so jump back in and add your tie-breaker margin now.
