Dry aged steaks. Sadly not as much as ya’ll are imagining.
Yeah I'm not surprised

5 dry aged rib eyes set me back about $160-$170 a few months back and from memory good meat in the US is very similar priced to what it is here, well beef is anyway. Pork was much cheaper over there

But then again I would imagine that meat prices would vary from state to state

Wife just surprised me with a $900 delivery from the butcher 😍
My old man used to go to a farmer he knew and select a cow for butchering and a butcher would come out, kill the cow and break down the carcass however he wanted it. It was 15+ years ago but that didn't even cost $900 from memory.

Thinking of trying some dry aging at home soon as I love dry aged meat.

So I fail at another attempt to capture sporting moments.

Managed to switch over to the cricket to miss Franklin's 1000th and then missed the final wicket by Cummins to win the third test by switching back to the footy.

Me too, but I discovered (at some expense) that you really need to get the cooking of it just right. I mean, its not difficult but I accidentally cooked it slightly less rare than I would prefer, and salted the meat too early I reckon - leeches juice from the meat the longer it is there and the overall effect was a slightly weird, dense texture.

I’ve sorted it now though.

$800 might just buy a cow ATM. I am still waiting for people to explain to me why a country full of sheep has the most expensive lamb prices we have ever know .
BTW am i ever going to see that badge again ? ( the Angels )
Wool v lamb. Australian sheep mostly produce wool and the legendary Merino in fact has a lower reproductive rate than most breeds of sheep. There’s more profit and long term viability in wool production too.

campaigner jackhammering at 7am this morning about 10 houses down from me, woke me, lucky im not a next-door neighbour or id be out there shoving the jackhammer up his clacker.
Shit yes. 2 doors down from me. New owners of a house pretty much jackhammering the back yard which the previous lot had entirely concreted over. All very nice but I would have thought Jackhammering out a small yard of concrete would take less than a week FFS

Too bad he didnt go scorched earth on him, he had a moment where he thought about it aswell.
Yeah he was definitely about to but thought better of it. Knew what the people that wrote his cheques would think about it.

Saw someone joke that he's probably going to win every 'worst gig' conversation from here on out. Got assaulted on stage and rather than dragging the guy out they gave him an award. 😂

Free lottery ticket for anyone who wants it, just make a joke about Will Smith's wife's baldness when you see him in public. Easy Milly.

The irony is that no one would remember the joke if the two of them just faked a laugh for two seconds and moved on.

I love girls with shaved heads, dunno why Will is all uppity about it.
I'm not psychologist, but maybe there is still some unresolved trauma for his bow-legged wife hooking up with kids and telling everyone about it on youtube?
