Treacy is Jack Darling's size - does he have his athleticism? He'll need it if he wants to lead the forward line.

Amiss hasn't even made his debut. There were serious questions on his accuracy in his draft year. Will he be another Crabener? Even if not, he'll be another 4 or 5 season before he can lead the forward line.
Isn’t Darling 191? Treacy is much more Kennedy’s size.

Edit: and you’re making stuff up about Amiss. This from his Freo profile - ‘He ranked no.1 for accuracy in the Colts of any player to have kicked more than 10 goals for the season.’

KPF is the problem. Who do they have? Crabener? He's no good already and soon to be in 30s.

Treacy isn't big enough to be FF or CHF, who else do they have?

This is true and it's the yin and the yang of drafting, by the two teams in the West.

Freo cant draft KPP for shit but excel at drafting mids.
West Coast draft KPP well, even deep in the draft with monotonous regularity ..... but cant draft mids for shit.

Alas its the chagrin of both sets of supporters....sad but true.

Amiss has played this year, they gave him a soft kill vs Norf for his debut

Amiss lacks a physical side to his game that will only ever render him as a third tall, a good one mind you, but a third tall never the less ... think Jack Gunston and thats what Amiss projects to be.

Yes he is much more like Kennedys size ............ but plays unlike Kennedy does.
Honest toiler is Treacy and he certainly has some potential, but to be considered as Kennedy like ..... is a stretch ....... and a big one at that.

The Unwashed should be playing him ahead of Taberner, the fact that are not doing so, hinders their teams development.

All the reports in his draft year were he wasn't super tall but was a dead-eye dick.

Sounds, to me, like a critique of the late, Dudley Moore.

West Coast always have traditionally aimed to take the best available player available. With not many top end picks it's usually a KPP.

Hopefully now WC get some good quality mids, hope they can develop them

I feel their big mistake was taking Cerra when they could’ve had Naughton. They had already drafted Brayshaw and everyone knew even back then that they were lacking a KPF.
Just like eagles fans have known this lack of midfield depth has been coming.
At least u can build a midfield quicker then a fwd line.
Don’t think Jackson really helps either, he’s way better in the midfield then fwd line.
There going to have to trade for a fwd now to match up their player age profile. Especially if they lose Lobb. And without any draft picks this year they’re gunna have to wait for next year.
I see another mediocre season coming for them. 6-12

Cerra over Naughton
Trading for Hogan on a 2 year lease and missing the chance to draft Ben King

Naughton was right under their noses at Peel as well

I can see why they didn't take Naughton. They already had Pearce and Hamling, Had just used their first rounder on Logue the year before and Naughton had played his whole time as a defender.

The shocking decision was trading for Hogan instead of drafting King. If they had king they still likely would have had last years draft picks or very close to and got those players. Then all they would be chasing for the rest of their rebuild is quality small/medium forwards and flankers. They do also potentially need 1 more genuine pure inside mid as well.

As i said earlier some of their trading decisions will be what haunts them. I feel like they are going to come up just short on what they need particularly effectively putting lobb and 2 first rounders into getting Jackson.

Also it's hard to see all of their roleplayer types backing up and having best in career seasons again all at the same time. Sort of like us in 2011/2012.

Where as I feel we will have a bit of a dead cat bounce next year before two bottom 4 / bottom 2 years on the ladder in 2024/25 which will be when we pick up hopefully the last major pieces of our rebuild before our rise up the ladder.

Did it rain between 5-8? I didn't have a close eye on the game. Saw a bit of the second half and it started pouring down some time after 8pm. I'll hang my hat on that 🙃
There was light rain for a lot of the game tbh.

???

Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Priddis
Yoe etc etc

Every time a team gets a run on against the Pies you can guarantee the umps will pick a soft one out for them at the next centre bounce…
