Pretty good but the name that screams out to me is Langdon ... while Winder is an emergency. (Or even Naish?) As quoted elsewhere ... better the spud you know? Seems to be the MC motto.
Yeah a real quandary. Playing the high priced loyal servant whose best has very much past in the AFL or going back to a side that kicked 1.5 last week? Kinda no win either way.Yeah I've been asking this question about Gaff for a while now - only thing I can come up with is that they think they'll lose by less by playing a 75% Gaff over Naish or Winder. Otherwise it's just baffling.
NAh, I reckon he is just hopeful someone has found a cure for his own long term issue. What even is the point of a post like this
You don’t rate Waterman, fair enough, we get it.
Doesn’t mean you need to take every half opportunity to pot the bloke
On the back of a post that he may have had surgery isn’t really the time to have yet another crack.
Gaff looks like he is flying.
Oh Hail Sir Gaff - we salute the Knights who say NiGaff on one leg is still better than playing less experienced players and potentially finishing near the bottom of the ladder
It's just selfish. Chasing match payments and games on their career tally.
Yeah NicNat and Gaff are on matchies
Or they’re competitors who don’t like sitting out. Or they feel like they’re letting the team down if they sit out.
I believe minimum wage and rookie players get match payment, senior players over $400k are likely to get additional money for things like club F&B, AA, etcWhat do you mean.. isn't everyone eligible for the match payment as part of the AFLPA?
It's not their sole income, they still have the coin from their contract of course, but do they not get the 5-7k on top per match?
I'd call playing injured in a dead rubber season that means nothing whilst your replacement rolls out and gets flogged for the Beagles as a bit selfish, yeah.

Even if that’s built in, presumably they’d get it if they’re injured. Otherwise Dom Sheed who’s missed 21 games this season would have lost out on $105,000 - $147,000.
It might be foolish or misguided for them to play injured, but I highly doubt they’re doing it to bump up their games played stats.
Thanks for clarifying.
Think it's only fitting now for one of us to delete their account.
I think I've seen this episode before re: Winder, and it doesn't end well for him. I'm curious to see if there's a midfielder in him given recent perfoances but just get the feeling the club has already made up their mind.
He is a midfielder. The club had tried to shoe-horn him into a forward pocket and it hasn't worked.
Agree, but I suspect part of it is that the coaches have written him off as a mid from the outset so they pencil them in as small forwards/defenders. You would assume it’d be easier to just draft specialist small forwards/defenders but who knowsBizarre how we pull s**t like this so often.
