It will be 6 weeks by thursday's game against brisbane since Dusty suffered the setback with his hamstring

The club has been extra cautious and built him back up slowly to ensure he doesnt do it again for the finals

If we get over Brisbane then we should have primed Dusty for the following game against Sydney or Melbourne

If we dont win then Dusty is off to Vegas to Party

I'm betting when you've had Dusty's career, the only thing left to achieve is beat yourself and put the contenders to the sword. Looking forward to Dusty playing 90% forward averaging 12-15 possies 2.5 goals, 10 score involvements and making every hack mid sized defender 💩 themselves at the prospect of Dusty and Shai Harlem Globetrotting our way to the GF! When he turns it on and does what mere mortals can't even dream of and wins his 4th Normie ( will be renamed the Dusty one day). His greatest achievement will be denying that sook Dangerfield his lifelong dream and will stay at Punt Rd. They'll end up building a Colossus of Rhodes size statue of Dusty at Gate 4 in 10 years.

Im looking forward to watching Martin and Bolton play together

I wonder about that. The whole team is now non-Dusty focused. How will Dusty's return impact that.

I assume his first game back he will play more forward than mid.

It's a bit strange to think that such a dangerous player is coming into the best forward line in the league. Hope it turbo charges us rather than upsets the structure.

It's a good problem to have. Agree, I think he will end up playing in the forward line.

When he comes into the forwardline does Cumberland need to make way? If so, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that. Our forwardline atm, is extremely well balanced and diverse. Perhaps Cumberland moves up into the high half forward role and Graham/Ross into the midfield rotation?

Dusty has been such a weapon for us, especially during finals, but I fear tweaking our structure when its so dangerous presently...

It's just a bit more bench time for everyone.

We'll be able to throw a lot of different mixes into our forward line, because so many of the small forwards players are capable of playing midfield minutes (Dusty, Bolton, Edwards, Ross and Short). Some of these players are also marking threats (e.g. Bolton, Cumberland) allowing us to give Riewoldt some bench time and go with a forward line that looks like this:

Full Forward: Dusty + Lynch + Bolton
Half Forward: MRJ + Cumberland + Edwards

Short, Balta and Miller pumping it in long and letting our forwards go to work. So many ways to score. That's a 15 goal forward line if we can get 30 deep entries and either mark it or bring it to ground.

stop it

I actually think Dusty being back is gonna make Cumberland even better cos now he gets the 4th best defender

Cumbo gonna feast on that campaigner
You'd think Starcevich goes to Martin and with Answerth suspended it'd mean someone like AH Chee or Coleman has to go to Cumbo
