Ken and Port jumped the start line on Rioli.Things have changed dramatically for Port in trade week.
We have the opportunity for a number 1 draft pick, gun midfielder.
And a ruckman /Forward from the Cats who could also possibly slip back in defense ..gun utility player.
We just don't have the currency to pay Junior $3,000,000 over 4 years. And part with a very valuable second round pick.
Georgiades and Houston are required players at Port.
Young Fredrick's brother is already in Wa,but he may not want to leave Port/SA.Lets give Fredrick's a go next year he might be out Rioli solution.
He'll be at Port next year.

It's hard not to feel as though West Coast are looking to recoup some of the sunk cost of what they've done to look after Rioli in and around the drugs situation. Unfortunately for them, that just doesn't have currency at the trade table.
Yep. I don't blame them for being pissed at Junior, if I was an Eagles supporter I'd be pissed at him too. But it's not our job to compensate them for their hurt feelings.

Adelaide could. Depth for Rankine/Rachele, or mosquito strategy. Good luck to them if they do.
Cant see it ,Adel are in rebuild mode , loading up with kids. Taking on a high risk expensive 27 yr old would be a strange move.
We rightly or wrongly believe our window is still open, our smalls are Fanta and Mcentee hence we are prepared to take a punt.

North, Adelaide & Hawthorn aren't taking Rioli, they're all rebuilding. Eagles already won't match. GWS & GC have salary concerns already. Only team left to threaten is Essendon, they might take him, could be valuable to them. Depends on their strategy and the culture they're trying to set.

Only reason we've gone so big in our deal is to pry him out because our management believes we are a flag shot, even though we aren't. Doubt the Bombers believe the same.

It's weird... If rioli was ours... With the bullshit what comes along with him... I would be glad to rid ourselves of rioli for whatever we got...
WC are in such a poor state they have to beat their chest at draft time. Didn't win much on the field but they can go to their supporters victorious in extracting pick 35 instead of pick 40 for a player they don't want anyway

But WCE actually do want him. We didn't keep him on our list for 2 seasons without playing a game because we don't rate him.

It's Rioli who doesn't want us.

I reckon it will end up a straight swap for a pick, 33 or 43, whoever blinks first.

If West Coast had moved quicker this might have been possible.

As it stands I think its less likely - 33 and 43 will likely go to North Melbourne and Geelong.

This is happening by the looks.

Interesting to hear SOS and Noble on Trade Radio somewhat backtracking that Port would have to give up a player.

Just a spot of difference between the excitement in this thread and the Horne-Francis thread 😅

JHF is obviously the main attraction but Junior will be a more than handy player for us if we can keep him on the straight and narrow. Admittedly that's a reasonable if, but fingers crossed.

Amongst a number of fairly obvious KPIs one that should be very close to the top of the list is, lose the bread basket and present yourself as a genuine AFL footballer, or gtfo.

Ala Noddy of the Holder variety I also doubt the bloke will play another 50 AFL games during the balance of his footy career and the difference between risk and reward is too great, so if the toasters reckon he's worth that risk leave him where he is.
There is no chance wed have traded him if it were our choice.

None.

He is a freaky talent and we dont win 2018 without him.
