CT was an average player in a s**t side - if he is an every week player next year we have not progressed much at all OR we have suffered another bad injury run.

He is the sort of 2022 player we need to move on if we are to get better as a team.
You reckon a bloke who can take marks like this, this and this (at 2:25 AND 3:30) and who kicked 9 goals off a wing in what was almost the worst year in the club's history is a bloke we should move on. Jesus ****ing Christ

CT aint going anywhere. He‘s improved as good as anyone every year since his debut in one of the worst sides of all time.

He’s going to thrive under Clarko with his ruthless attack on the pill.

I pointed this out in his thread, but it's worth repeating:

First 12 games of 2022: 12.7 disposals, 3.75 marks, 3 goals, and 52.8 supercoach.
Last 10 games of 2022: 18.6 disposals, 6.2 marks, 6 goals, and 70.6 supercoach.

He definitely has another level he can get to as well.

al Clarko knows we’ve lost our way over the last few years but we’re back on track

Am sure other players will come up in conversation after they all return to the track In the new year.

It is all about being the very best version of yourself.

And as I said I had a feeling not everyone will be up for this challenge. And that may well be a young Tassie fella who is finding the going tough

Time is on his side of course

How worried should we be of TT?

The thing with Taylor is he is in a bit of Mason Wood category. Talented. No disagreements. But hasn’t been consistent enough to solidify himself as a requirement IMO.
Only played 52 games, very few are consistent at this stage of career. Let’s see what he can in a team with a game plan

Lol he's clearly best 22. It's a ridiculous notion

If CT is pushed back to a fringe role
player that’s in our bottom 4 of our 22 then we are going places. Both Taylor and Scott are those perfect bottom
Few role players that every premiership side needs. I can still see CT being a 200 game player for us.

I am not doubtful on Taylor as he was largely played out of position. It needs to be repeated that he can be a very dangerous strong marking forward or goal sneak. I will concede he needs to get the strength and conditioning right so it gives him every chance.

For context, wingers average between 15-20 possessions in 2022. There are a few outliers: Langdon averaged 21, Gaff 23, Smith 21.

If CT can push 19-20 possessions in 2023, then we will be laughing.

I don't think worried is right, he may just not have it in him to achieve the standards that al clarko requires.

I couldn't have either. Will be interesting viewing, I am also not saying that TT won't make it. Just he is finding it tough currently.

anyways

We're working on our clearances, trying different methods, apparently ( i haven't been to training) we're breaking into six groups (??) all allocated a number, then someone will call a random group and they have to sprint to the next clearance simulation. It is about having our guys in peak physical condition to roll from clearance to clearance.

There have been some very successful average footballers over the journey, T Shaw springs to mind. Not a slight on Shaw, his work ethic is what made him very successful.

The boys have to share something great about training and not so great. Don't know a not so, but a great was Goater, McKay was isolated one out in match sim, Goater sprinted 30 meters to assist and thumped the ball OOB .

Everyone had that as their great.

Don't know what it all means, or how we'll go, cannot get a read on it tbh.

But heck I think I'll be disappointed if we're bottom four. I see some still have us for the spoon.

There’s a whole lot of words I don’t understand there, are you saying we’ll be ready for round 1?
That will be special, I will cherish it, if it happens.

I think we will be ready, a different side, near unrecognisable.
I like your optimism, I’ll wait to see evidence of this new prepared midfield group against actual opposition, I’ve been burnt one, too many times from reports on here.

Certainly sounds promising
