Never seen such a stark difference between faux tough guy and actual tough guy.

Was having a few beer with Bernie a few months back and brought this up. He said he got him right in the jewels, and the way the chat went I believed him. He's actually a ripping fella.

Higgo giving Vince an absolute rinsing when he's writhing about on the ground is probably the best thing I've seen on the footy field from our club in the last 5 years.

And love the umpire was probably too scared to reverse it and new Vince deserved it.

Agreed. I would think that most weeks at least one of Howe and Shiels will be in the side.

Slowly, slowly to start building the side under Clarko's new game plan and he'll want soldiers that fit into his structure and perform accordingly.
Two ex-Hawks' players will slot in just nicely in the first part of the Clarko era to help guide the way for those around them. The next 10 weeks will be the first time in years I suspect that players, including both veterans and our much touted youth are made to fight for their spots.

Not surprised to hear it. I really really don't rate him, but discipline, leadership? and experience under Clarko logically tip the scales in his favour. I just pray he plays on the outside because our mids' centre square time is too valuable to have him in there
