He actually did wonders for our salary cap and left us with heaps of room after cutting lots of the dead wood and re-working the silly deals that were made before his time.

We had significant cap space when he left which allowed us to sign Saad, Williams and Cerra the following year(s).

Eyre, Owens, Van Es, Phillipou and Sharman played forward today.

How Van Es go as a fwd?

Hmm. So should we take Eyre now and still keep a spot open by putting Alison on the LTI list?

And if Eyre is considered a defender for us, do we need to switch Cordy, Battle or Howard forward? I think I'd prefer Howard in all honesty, just for a few weeks. Closest thing we've got to King on our list.

Van Es at full-back, although he is training forward. Howard at C.H.F or F.F, I'm with ya.
And those stating that Howard is no forward. He did kick 10 goals in 15 matches for Port. Nothing special agreed, but our resources are getting thin.
Hudson Garoni, on the list, would be my preference though. Not sure why? we need Eyre as another defender, Cordy was picked for that reason.

And he's only 22y.o. And I think there is a mistake on his Werribee profile? My calculations have him at 45 games- 82 goals.

In his draft year he was rated super highly on one of the talent scales. I'll try to find it.

We haven't heard much either. I think he's training but perhaps not showing much compared to the shiny new guys?

Funny how we all see things differently.

I was down there and was indifferent in what I saw.

Cleary a good athlete , but has the worst set of hands I have seen in a long time. Technically looks like a great kick but wasn’t anything special by foot in his actual execution by foot.

Competed hard in the air but not great when ball hit ground level .

Has some tools but his marking is miles below an acceptable level but might have been an off day in the air.

But extolling the virtues of a candidate on the basis of being best buddies with the hierarchy is nepotistic. Mowman for one has been critical of Satan for the exact same thing, and George is reflecting similar views to him now.
