rarely a slog these days, the grounds drain much better than the suburban ovals of yesteryear. Plus multiple balls are in use, so they don't get waterlogged like they used to. I can't understand how people still equate rain and slog in the modern day.
Yes, won't be a muddy bog like the old days and good point about grounds' drainage.
AO is excellent like that.
However, I can't speak for 4-5 hours from now, but if it rains like now during the game it'll be a slippery, ball-skidding slog.
Need our smalls to be alert behind the packs and off-hands.

the ball skidding thing is real and advantages speedy sides. Back in the old days it was about strength over the footy, speed much more important now.

... on a dry deck as well.

All I was trying to say is that adjustments need to be made for slipperiness, ball skidding on ground (less likely to bounce up for an easy take), behind packs, off-hands.
It's a different game on a greasy surface (if the rain stops) and even harder in the rain (kicks travel slightly less far, drop earlier etc).
Wet conditions tend to even sides out, as well. Real test of determination and effort.

Fwiw, I hated playing in the rain; probably affects my take on it now.

Lazy morning for her while we had kids footy, heading in soon.
Cute.
It's a funny/odd thing about the saying "It's a dog's life".
(Merriam-Webster: "a difficult, boring, and unhappy life")

From your photo and others, I wouldn't mind a dog's life. Just longer.

I'll never understand using "dog" as a negative. 'Dog act', 'bitch' are both negatives, but dogs are, on average, better than humans. Same as calling someone a pig or animal as a slur, humans are in the running for being the worst of all the animals.

Polite suggestion: go to bed and stay there.
If we win, you can watch replay.
If we lose (likely), missing the torture and angst will be worth it.
So true…

Likely to attempt to be around for the start and likely asleep long before the end

It feels like there was this ''demand'' to bring in Worrell and yet the conditions may hamper him. Parnell may have been a better option

But we roll with what we have

From BACCS in the changes thread. Fair comments - I just worry the match up on Charlie. Max has taken all before him but the weather may impede him. But then you have Parnell on him and that concerns me more

It will be an interesting game

I always expect us to win - and at home - but I think either side by under 20 points is about where we are at

But as its the dogs105 thread we might win by 81

If Worrell is as good as we think he is, it won't.

The one thing that is in his favour is he's a rebounder first, and one capable of giving a fair bit of run and carry.
