Haha sorry that fair enough.

On positives - I’m getting quite bullish about Corey Wagner as the weeks pass. Really liking what this guy is doing in the last month. He’s the perfect player for the modern AFL style of attacking play.
It’s amazing how much he’s improved in a few games

His first few were atrocious and most of us were like “ what the f is this WAFL guy doing here “

More proof in the pudding that we’ve got to give them time
How much time is still contentious though .

Corey is improving exponentially with every game. He’s clearly loving his time at Freo and is developing some really good chemistry with the group.

From a very modest start with the Club he is now exceeding all expectations in my book, and I’m mighty glad to have him at the Dockers.

I only found today - some one posted in youtube last year before final...Just realised this song's back ground is a Wharf and the lyrics resembles a normal dockers fans love with success/Flag.... does we play this song in stadium during game? I know we play TNT and Sofi tucker (Purple Hat) ....
What a club we are .. we have everything, a strong loyal fan base, club is rich financially , nice mix of cross section of society- common man - south of Fremantle and richest people in east of Fremantle , rock songs and pop culture as part of club and very entertaining....... BUT JUST MISS ONE THING - FLAG....

I have a feeling it is very close!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay calm , Persevere!!!!!!

Shultz was the same. Just awful. Look at him now when he’s on. Sometimes I think the guys who missed out being drafted or have been delisted are much more aware of what’s at stake when they play & hence suffer more from nerves than the kids who have breezed through juniors in the elite pathways & still treat it like they did when they were kids.
It’s not uncommon for players to come straight from the draft, make it look easy for a while then suddenly the weight of expectations & the reality of being a professional athlete starts to really hit.

Is Luke Ryan in All Australian contention?
He’s elite in every stat going, I know that can be a bit misleading given how we play but he’s be in the 40 anyway I’d say?
Unfortunately his first 4 or 5 games were uncharacteristicly tripe probably ruling him out I would think

Since then he’s been BOG most weeks
Massive turnaround
So stoked for him

Was difficult to bear hearing the knockers come for him . One of my fave Dockers

I’m not sure. The selectors love this kind of stuff:

To see positivity this season, I look at who has risen and who has fallen from last season. Looking at best 22.

Risen :- Young, Henry, Sturt, Amiss.

Fallen :- Brodie ?, input required here.

Obviously Mundy left a massive hole, that maybe Young is moving into.

This was a season to go back and re-set, to go forward ?.

I've been disappointed with Aish this year.

End of first quarter, I was thinking, "Is Young already our best midfielder?". Then Jackson said, "hold my beer".
The Young move makes that midfield trio work like it was meant to. He's the Cerra replacement but with a bit more mongrel. Brayshaw/Young/Serong is the starting midfield for the next 10 years and they all compliment each other really well in there

When they were throwing up head-to-head comparisons and Jacko not only had twice as many hitouts but HALF of those were to advantage, I needed someone to hold my beer. Some of those taps were actual perfection. There's "to advantage" and there's "crafted with precision, never-had-it-so-good, sweet-on-the-teat advantage."

When he took that throw-in, ran on, kicked at goal and unfortunately hit the post, my son, sitting next to me, was initially bemoaning the lack of front and centre - I said, "Nah, they're giving Dogga some room to go himself." Eventually the whole midfield is going to do that. Just get out of his ****ing way and be grateful you've got the best seat in the house to The Luke Jackson Show.

Nah. Brayshaw needs to move to a flank somewhere. Use his running ability in my opinion.

Going into 2024 we have the tall forwards that have worked wonders in tandem in amiss and treacy. Sturt had his break out game against the lions and can possibly be that medium tall going forward if he can progress and grow from what he achieved against the lions. Hayden young is a must in the middle going forward as the key tagger. Shultz and Switkowski must be in there too as they have shown that the pressure they provide up the ground is what we need. The last couple of weeks have been positive if you look at the big picture

I'm not banishing a players MVP to the flank unless you include wing under the definition of flank. He can use his running ability perfectly fine in the middle as he runs both ways harder than anyone

What about Brayshaw in the Sam Walsh role? Running from HFF straight into the midfield and emerging with the clearance…

I do include wing. 5 years in and the best he can do is stand behind his opponent and tackle. I think we can find better than that. He is very good as a half forward as well. With a bit of creative thinking we can utilise his running from there as well.

I am not convinced Brayshaw's spot is solidified in the center. Wing might suit his attributes more.

I mean sure, but it's not really a flank role

This just seems like such a reductive view on what he does when playing well. I'd agree we need to get him more than 1 position but you can have link up players in the middle, every team has them.
