Wing covered and behind Disco, Scott and Tucker.
Med defender behind prob only Goater ahead of Bergs though.
Running back behind Sheeze, Fish and Kerch.

Can not fathom 4 time premiership coach, Alistair Clarkson, getting pulled aside and being told “hey Clarko, you know that Donald is kind of a big deal around here so even if you don’t think Luke is in our best side, you have to play him, in fact you should make him captain”.

Yes I am an old campaigner that has seen the bad the good and the mediocre which this club has been for the last 5 years and I’m sick of it this club being fu:king Sh:t.
But what makes me sick the naive dumb and stupid supporters on this site that thinks a guy who has at best played probably 15 to 20 good games for this club out his last 100 should be an automatic selection at AFL level and if he didn’t have the surname he has would have been either delisted or traded out by now.
Football is a business now time for people to wake up where not standing up on the Gasometer wing at Arden St anyone in front of 10k on a wet winters day anymore we need to start thinking for the now and as Coach Clarkson said some personal will be here when we win our next Flag and some won’t unfortunately McDonald fits the category he won’t.
Unless we want to keep going the same way losing with the highlight to some in their eyes let’s get the number 1 draft pick AGAIN.
So if you want to call me an old campaigner or Cu:t or Ar:ehole go for it I don’t care but at least can say I was at the MCG in 1974,75,76,77 both of them,78 and 96,The nightmare of 98 and 99 and everything in between and I dare say a lot supporters of this club want a new culture at this club and see this club create a new Dynasty just the 1970s and 1990s.
So to all those on North big footy want to take a shot at me do it but don’t try and make excuses for McDonald if

You're not the only one who went to all those Grand Finals. Actually I missed the first 77 game (draw), but went to all the rest. I don't see any relevance of this to McDonald playing in 2024.

And you're moving the goalposts here. Very few of us are saying Luke is an automatic selection, we're just sick of your bullshit that it relates to Donald being at the club. It doesn't. I doubt that even you believe it any more, so give it a f***ing rest.

I know a poster here who took his young boys to Hobart (from Melbourne) for the last game last year. Reckons it did wonders for rusting them on as supporters.

Over the first five weeks, we play some of the most potent forward lines in the AFL. If we survive that period, then I'd be looking at transitioning McDonald into another role.

With the speed and accuracy of our back-half ball movement this summer, I'm not sure I can stomach seeing McDonald down back again. Unless we find out that playing McDonald is the only way to stop sides from scoring 100+ on us each week, I'm happy to call an end to his days as a defender. We have plenty of depth already with Corr, Archer, Bergman, Hardeman, Logue and George all missing from the group that played St Kilda.

Whether it's a defensive forward role, or playing as a bigger-bodied midfielder, we need to be looking at something to salvage these three remaining years on his deal.

Mcdonalds best season as bnf was when he played midfield as a mxture of tagged aswell as pure mid. As someone with a big body I'd look to get him back in there if anything. With the fact that we're playing mckercher Fisher sheezel down back with most likely 3 talls and goatee as the 7th defender who has had a good pre season there is no room for Luke. Maybe he might even be an option as the sub

This sounds like the career trajectory of Shaun Atley. Rather sad really.

McDonald to play mid? …. You can’t be serious? I think Jy is on his last legs in the midfield and you think McDonald should be playing there?
