So humble, so grounded, so mature.
He was clearly just as happy for George as he was for himself in getting selected, possibly more so. Same goes for his family.

Here we go…
Wish list for the draft:

Forward capable of having a day out - has a history of kicking 5+ goals in a game - preference for KPF but open to any height

Run and carry defender with foot skills.

Setterfield back up/successor - big midfielder that loves the crash and bash - someone to clear the way for Tsatas et. al. into the future
Caddy and Stevens were heavily my wish list with ambivalence on the running defender. Was so happy when we traded back in and Stevens was still on the board, thought it might actually happen. Then we pulled an Essendon and didn't draft the unheralded bullocking midfielder. When I found him and Lual were friends, I was even more annoyed.

Lets give Lual some love too. Best game I've seen from him so far. Especially that first half. Quaynor like, great athletism to spoil taller than he is, good straight line runner and despite one or two where he nearly missed his foot, really nice clean retention of the football. Probably aiming for that Kelly spot and wouldn't be surprised if he just keeps improving at an impressive rate to pinch a game or two late in the season.

I've got a good feeling about Lual.

I think he is a chance to debut later on this season, he seems to be progressing well.
Too often he just gets completely lost from what I've seen. Needs to start by sticking to his opponent. He can use his pace and acceleration from there. Hasn't got a good enough read ATM to play as loosely as he has been.

Question for the VFL watchers; how is Lual tracking? Has there been improvement? What does he need to do?
Kick the ball better is the main thing, but also just needs time defensively.

I think he is improving - you can see the scope and what he can become - a defender who can wear elite express pace small forwards like a glove.
Yep, plays similar to CJ from the Hawks

Probably the most disappointing of the AFL listers on the weekend, showed he was still a fair way off any sort of AFL emergence.

Outworked, outsized (that will come I know), got pushed aside easily even when he was in the right position.

A lot to like but still young and raw. Hopefully he comes back better when we ge some troops back as playing on bigger guys didn't help his cause

So he won his way up to being an emergency off a couple of games where he played a bit forward and showed a bit.

I'll take that, despite being drafted higher than Roberts he was never going to be a year 1 player and although he struggled a little bit, he's shown enough for mine. Good wheels, aggressive runner, decent enough by hand and foot and has pretty broad shoulders and hips so you'd think he fills out pretty well.

Athletically, he looks as good as any. Footballing he’s a fair way off

I assume he is a travelling emergency to let him see what it is like.
