Must be drafting a WR early.
$60m over with only 40 players signed is so on brand. One of these things is not like the others. The Saints remind me of those people who get a new credit card and then use a cash advance to pay off their old credit card.

I love how consistent you are with your Bears hate.Higher price then i was expecting for him. It saves the Chargers $23m.
Thats alot of money the Bears are going to pay for a 1 year rental.
I dont get it. for a team like the bears i would keep the 4th round and draft a few WR's cheap and spend the $20m on FA's
Got to admire the Saints determination to stay mid.One of these things is not like the others. The Saints remind me of those people who get a new credit card and then use a cash advance to pay off their old credit card.

This one has nothing to do with the bears. i would of said the same about the Panthers or anyone else who is a team that isnt good.I love how consistent you are with your Bears hate.
FWIW I agree, I think they should have spent their money and an EDR and taken a WR at #9 instead, however, as drd told me on sleeper, this could make sense if they believe Nabers or Odunze dont last til pick #9. In a prime trade back spot now with QB hungry teams a few spots behind them. This one has nothing to do with the bears. i would of said the same about the Panthers or anyone else who is a team that isnt good.
I dont think bad teams trading for high priced rentals is smart. Give me the cost efficient rookie for 4 years at 1/5th the cost.
and spend the money on a mid 20s player rather then a 30 year old WR.
They have no choice, because they still need to get a full roster and cant really trade the contracts because of the restructures will produce almost no savings [if they could even find a buyer for the contract]Yeah I don't get it anymore. The Saints are not competing, would they not be better bottoming out and clearing the cap space?
What's the point of continuing to kick the can down the road when you aren't competing anyway.
It only makes sense if Allen extends before the season. otherwise it looks like a high price rental for a team not close to a Lombardi.Allen is still a very nice piece for a rookie QB if he can stay on the field. Im warming to it. Would assume he plays in the slot and the Bears take an outside WR in the draft still, just maybe not in the first round like some thought. OL or EDR early you'd assume if they stay at pick #9 now, or they trade back.
So realistically, how far away are they now from operating like every other team in the league? '27/'28?They have no choice, because they still need to get a full roster and cant really trade the contracts because of the restructures will produce almost no savings [if they could even find a buyer for the contract]
and a few of the contracts they have decided to extend with backloaded money.
the Carr contract just made it harder. they should of tried to reset the cap starting last season and then be clear again by 25 or 26
Taysom Hill $15m cap hit. if they cut him it costs them $16m [but can be a $5m hit post june 1]So realistically, how far away are they now from operating like every other team in the league? '27/'28?
They will get a very good WR at pick #5What are the chargers doing?
Quinten "dogshit" Johnson is now WR1.
******* lol.
That franchise has no idea
