Really good chance for the WAFL boys to back up there good win, with another against a lowly rated Perth.

If we can win with another 12-13 listed players + and Peel beat Claremont, then the boys will jump into 7th or 8th position and potentially equal points with 5th pending the subi and swans result.

With a few coming back from injury in the next few weeks + adding a player from the MSD, we have the chance to string some good performances together.

Nice to see Trew going well.
Can't see him displacing Chesser from the side as he's definitely not suited to the role Chesser plays.
Keep putting up the WAFL performances, a spot might open up in the midfield as season unfolds.
Might've put himself ahead of Ledwards for a spot as it stands.
He should be first in line if any of Yeo, Kelly, Reid or GInbey miss.

The Beagles travel to Northam this week to play Perth and in a rare occurrence the game will be after our AFL game meaning all non-selected players will be available

In further good news, Jamieson and Barnett are both expected to be available after recovering from injury. As will Petruccelle although he’s a strong chance to be playing AFL

Overall there could be as many as 38 or 39 players good to play this weekend meaning 15-16 listed players available for the Beagles

Would be our strongest WAFL since the Beagles inaugural 2019 season

Could be up to 17 now if Hutchinson gets here by Sunday.

Just think how good they’d all look in a Perth jumper if we aligned 👀
Really hope The Don is working on this.
Sure he's well ahead of the game.🤞
Autonomy within reason, for The Demons, with access to best training facilities WCE provides to an extent
And best development for WCE younger guys. Including being started in WAFL ressies, for young players as required.. Some 18yo are good at coming straight into WAFL, some not so, some guys need to be dropped from WAFL league at times.
End game... Demons pushing for flags, which I haven't seen since 70's, and best development for WCE. +++
That would be great.
*love & support Swan Districts & WAFL and would like to see see the Demons back contending

Very happy that we managed to keep Ruscoe at the Beagles.

I would have been quite disappointed had he been drafted elsewhere in the MSD.

I was worried that Brizkents mob would take him and I was relieved when they passed with their last pick.

I dont understand why they cant do the draft monday or tuesday to let them get over by thursday or friday

Coz TV says ‘No’

Weekend - football
Monday - Rising Star noms & match review committee findings released.
Tuesday - injury reports released and tribunal.
Wednesday - ahhhhh, let’s fill it in with something.
Thursday - teams released and Thursday night footy.
Friday - Friday night footy.

Can’t have MSD interfering with normal service.

Listening to the Coast to Coast Podcast that dropped with Hall and Whopper.
Apparently Hedwards was telling them all at halftime/3qtr time "Don't you f'n lose this one, I wanna win so bad, I just wanna win."
Also Hall would want Hedwards to go into battle with him if a melee broke out.

100% worth a watch/listen for some WAFL nuggets.

Hall said he was also taking notes on how Matt Crouch went about his game on the weekend to improve his own game.

Would have preferred he was looking at Jordan Dawson :p

He said he was given the task on taking notes on Crouch because Sheed was manning him. Said any feedback he was going to give at HT went in the bin pretty early...

Last week Allen and Witho were talking about players who could play in other positions and Cole was mentioned as a pressure forward. I'd like to see that experiment one day. Can tackle, doesn't get sold candy very often, can create space for himself in congestion.

However he's needed as a 2nd small lockdown after Hough.

How's Jai Culley going? Form warranting a recall should the opportunity arise? I was devastated when he went down with injury last season...I'm worried he won't make it past his contract if he doesn't get a chance in the seniors.

I think he's only a week or 2 off. Been solid the past few games.

So with Hunt (Toe) and Rotham (illness) we won’t have quite as many AFL listed players as previously thought but should still be able to field a decent side, albeit a very young one

Backs : Jamieson, Baker

Rucks : Barnett, Livingstone

Mids : Trew, Culley, Hall, Johnston, Burgiel

Fwds : JWilliams, AReid, Brockman, Dewar, Rawlinson

Total of 14 players plus Ruscoe and Hutchinson if he does indeed end up playing 2 days after walking through the clubs doors

Callum Jamieson at the ripe old age of 23yrs 10mths is the oldest listed player. Hutchinson (22yrs 7mths) would be the second oldest, third behind Ruscoe who is 7 days older

Can see Ruscoe being swung down back as our forward line looks handy, especially if Hutchinson gets thrown down there. Our defence looks light on so could do with some help
