Home game on Saturday 7/9 then next home game Sunday 22/9

Two away games on Thursday 12/9 and Tuesday 17/9 jammed in between that is brutal

That’s 3x five day breaks in a row making for 4 games in 15 days

Are we surprised in the least?

They want 11 games but don't want to change the start and end dates of the season.

Any motivation behind not extending the duration of the season by a week?

Was this tabled when they agreed to add an additional round per season if ratings keep up? They won't be able to cram another round in next year without extending the duration.

If you start a week earlier you're starting against the last round of the mens instead of the pre finals bye, and if you go a week later then the GF is up against the first test.

I don't see a problem with the first option. They're going to have to find a solution sooner or later because the season needs to expand.

Happy the derby is at Optus again. While the crowd won't be huge, theylove playing there and prefer it to the WAFL venues.

Start it on the men’s finals bye. 17 games, play everyone once, takes you to the week before Christmas.

Pre finals bye while everyone has Xmas off, finals run through Jan, thanks for coming.

Give us a proper version of a 18 team comp plz, AFL.

I think the AFL will need to eventually need to run the women’s and men’s competition with significant lap over. Once December hits, there is cricket and the start of summer which is when it becomes too hot to play football.

Availability of ovals become an issue.

The VFLW and WAFLW run along side their male counterpart seasons quite happily.

What comes first? The higher standard of AFLW games or the investment in the AFLW?

Make it a full season and potentially not go to the expense of televising every game until the quality of the game is where it needs to be, those of us who actually want to watch will and I'm personally happy to pay a subscription to do so. I'd also attend when possible.

Congrats to Hooksy and co, but does this mean we’ve got another inactive player? Surely she wouldn’t be playing August-October with a baby due in December.

Exciting news but yep she’s done. She says at the end there she’s doing running only and non contact.

Top up options?

We still have to replace Kavanagh as well. I’m assuming Goranova and Rowley will be back.

Biggie do you happen to know who our current train-ons are?
