Became one of our most important players in the last week. Played well against freo, fingers crossed he can keep it up!
He was pretty good in his role but he didn't chase in one piece of play where Fredericks kicked a goal.
If he ran on, he couldn't saved that goal.

Fredericks is damn fast .. Very few players in the AFL would even have got close to him. But yes, he gave up a bit early
It wasn't a question of speed, it was a question of being lazy unfortunately.

He is a natural forward, like Boak was a midfielder, Jacko and Dougal defenders, Sam Gray midfielder or Magpies and I could go on.
We need a smart coach who isn’t stubborn and manages players to their strengths or not play them at all.
We have been tortured to this his bullshit for over 10 years, pseudo football sub-committees and a Chairman who has no clue about Football operations and puts his ego before the Club.
I got hope with Tredders getting on the Board, albeit was another con.

What is his trade value? I can't see a spot for him in the starting 22 next season.
I'm not a big fan of Burton.
His kicking is up there with the best but has the heart of a pea and can be wildly lazy and unaccountable to destroy game momentum for us.
He will be close to 22 while Kenny Average is still around.

Burton is the kind of player you don’t get rid of. He shouldn’t be best 22 when we have a fit list, but we can’t just keep getting rid of all our depth for players drafted in the 50+ range. Our depth is our biggest problem.
I also think he is definitely not a defender. He is a medium forward.

He absolutely cannot play defence, he never puts his head over the ball and will shirk contest all night. The number of missed marks due to him perceiving contact is unacceptable.
Other than a leading foward, i'm not sure what position he could play. Maybe wing.

Hes exactly the kind of player you get rid of. May have some small value and is terrible for culture.
Your depth will always have deficiencies but you don't want them to be effort or attitude.
