Still very sad for him. Not just because of his retirement but also because you get the sense that the fallout isn’t really over. I really want him to be okay.

I haven't watched the Brownlow in a while but once there's an outright winner don't they usually just stop the count and go straight to the speech. This ending rush is so awkward.

What this really makes even more stupid looking in hindsight is that forced Heeney apology. Make them at the end of the year or better yet don't make them at all and people will forget about it when you don't win anyway

45 votes is absolutely laughable. Every year this award becomes more of a joke. Cripps had a good year but 45 votes? Absolute BS.
