Only 59 games for Port seems odd - felt like he should have been around the 100 mark given how long he's been around. Still, was bloody reliable for us when on the park the last 3-4 years.

Only played 2 games in his first 2 years here. He was the scapegoat for that debacle against Essendon and Hinkley made him pay for it before it was apparent we had f'all tall defenders.

Hinkey massively underrated him.

Well done Trent McKenzie. Thanks for your service. Thought he was good for us.

Really good player. I wish we could have seen him off half back or a wing this year instead of our last memory seeing him banged up playing key back on forwards twice his size.

He did an amazing job given we played him out of position. Will be fondly remembered.

Always punched above his weight and did remarkably well against bigger opponents. So disciplined and with steely resolve.

One of the best with the flight of the ball spoils we've had.

Well done Trent, took your second chance and squeezed for all it was worth.

Outstanding kick of the footy, great hands, strong and brave. Had all the tools to be a top liner but his body never really gave him a good run at it. Still reckon he could've been All Australian in 2020, he was at that sort of level.

Go well Trent lad. Nothing but respect for the way you went about your footy. Saved this clubs lack of development and list management of key defenders for a few seasons.

His play as an undersized fullback in 2020 and 2021 was some of the best KPD play we've had at the Club, ever. He was an absolute star for those two seasons. So reliable tracking the ball in the air and he set things up so nicely when he was in possession of the footy.

It's a shame his body let him down for a large chunk of his career, but no one can deny his perseverance ensured he got the absolute most out of himself.

Tonight, as the Dolmio Grin ascends to a higher place, we, his adoring fans, wear the Dolmio Frown.

Thank you for your service Trent.
