Such a close season and heat of the moment sure but the Lions look light years ahead of us and most other clubs.

They'll get another superstar in the younger Ashcroft plus they'll get Coleman back.

I'm genuinely struggling to think of someone in our team other than Zerrett who would play in their best 22.

At the end of 2016 both Brisbane and Essendon were in similar positions. Bris did a proper rebuild then topped up with stars. We just kept topping up with C graders and been in no mans land.

We kept drinking our own bathwater & I'm yet to see that we have stopped.

Happy for Joe, got the **** out of here when he could & now gets the ultimate footy prize. There'd be a couple of his old team mates wishing they had done the same.
