Matt and Jack are quite similar prospects, so if we had Matt ranked close to the top 10, Jack wouldn't be much further behind.

Midfield is locked and stacked. This enables us to get a year of development into a 200cm key player.

Hard to tell from the vision but what is his speed/agility like?

Maybe it’s just scar tissue but I was kind of getting Sam Durdin vibes.

Take ego and status of high picks out of it, I really like this move. North need a tall to develop now on their upward curve Whitlock looks good. It’s a ballsy move but the extra year in the system with Darling as a mentor will be great for him and the club.

It seems his natural game is to rebound as well. Kind of like Darcy Moore but not sure his marking is as strong

Yep priority just has to be securing him.

Richmond wont pick him, I'd be shocked if they did, I don't think they will move back either for another trade.

The Dogs are the watch, they certainly wont go for a KPP. But they might trade to someone, it's just whether anyone offers a better deal than 2025 Pick 19 straight up.

There's a chance he last 4-5 more picks, particularly if a club takes Shanahan first and then some others go small. It becomes pretty realistic if he gets through West Coast.

Im wary of someone trading up for him other than us.

But I simply think we just outbid them with whats required at this point.

Matt and Jack have both come through the Shepparton Bears Football Club junior program before progressing to Bushrangers. I have seen them play maybe 50 games (Covid ruined). If you ask Matt all along he would tell you he was a defender, but this year Jack broke a finger and the Bushies through him forward and bang... he kicked 5 first time forward. So they through him there again and he kicked another 5. When Jack came back, Matt went back to defence. Jack is clearly, from watching him play over many years the better forward prospect. That said, Matt could be anything. In a Bears game last year Matt and Jack even played wing and ruck rover, both have the agility. Jacks long arms and reach were great at stoppages.
I really hope we get Jack

Maybe they did. Neither you, nor I, nor any other of the "luminaries" on here would know. Only time will tell.

One thing that time will not tell, is when you will stop bleating about it. Perhaps you won't ever stop bleating.

Something really wrong in the world when an Essendon supporter comes on here saying far more complimentary things about our club than 95% of our supporters.

Going off his highlights package the kid is a good mark, neat kick and shows some footy iq. Didn't we all want another KPP? I think many were prepared to pay our F1 to get a good one on our list. If we had grabbed the boy at pick 10/11 would all the toys still be thrown out of the cot, or is it only the fact we got pick 27 for our F1? The lad looks exactly like what we all wanted.
