After undergoing scans following the mishap, it’s been revealed that the 27-year-old injured his MCL (media collateral ligament) in his left knee.

The club will decide whether Rioli will go in for surgery to repair the injury in the coming week.
While an MCL injury could rule Rioli out for more than a handful of weeks, he shouldn’t miss any of the 2025 AFL season if his recovery goes to plan.

McKernan got the same number of votes as Voss and Hird in the 1996 Brownlow. That makes him a pretty good player in my opinion. To me Carey was good at getting junk time goals and attention but when the game needed to be won McKernan was the one that stood up. He was the one that Richmond never had an answer for. Kellawy always seemed to be able to keep Carey contained.
