One thing that we have lost in the retirements and trades is that Dusty, Baker and Bolton had the cleanest hands in the team while it was often like watching a fumblefest with the rest of them. Hopefully among the new draftees this is something that will be addressed.

Not mediocre but a versatile player who can play forward, back and midfield and has some of the cleanest hands in the comp. He was also a tough midget in the best team in the league. Won the award for most courageous player in the league in 2022, voted on by his peers. Pretty prestigious award IMO.

I was suggesting Freo is upgrading 30 to 23 if they do 10+11. Not sure why they wouldn’t want to do that? More a compromise on Richmond’s part

That’s around where I’m thinking (assuming Suns need a 30s pick to seal the deal), but from a Richmond perspective it would be 11 out from Freo instead of 18, in which case 23 would go to Freo. Either way one club would have 11 and the other 18 and 23. Could live with either. Interestingly 18...

GC want points not picks. If Richmond give GC a pick in the 30s plus 51 and 61, that adds up to more points for them than 23 gives them.

Freo 10+11+30 for Bolton+24 Rioli+30 for 6+23 QED If Freo push a hard bargain we could make it 20 instead of 24. May even be better as 24 is the first pick on night 2 which gives it a bit more value.

GC giving 6 and 23 for Rioli but want a pick in the 30s back for points for Lombard bid, so Richmond working to manufacture that pick.

WCE are now sniffing around Bolton so I’m sure we’ll get a good deal one way or the other.

This thread is really petering out now (It should be referred to as X, formerly known as Twitter btw). Hopefully today Freo put a revised offer of 10 and 11 on the table for Bolton and Richmond say they need a sweetener. That will really put some life back into the thread.

Word is that the Baker deal is waiting on the Bolton trade to get done. Pick 3 is on the table but Tigers only able to offer pick 20 in return at this stage. Eagles want Freos pick 10 or 11 back so that it’s 3 for Baker and 10 or 11. 🤧

Thing is that the original offers are ok and if push comes to shove they may take them, but nothing to lose and everything to gain by holding out til Wednesday.
