List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

Are you talking about the two games he played on managed minutes due to injury this year or the all Australian year he had last year a bottom ager?

    2024 Phantom draft all invited

Patrick Retschko still on the board SumaGodCoach if there’s no one else you like. Could turn into a good winger with the best tank in the land if we can fix his kicking.

It’s going to be Finn O’Sullivan and it’s going to be over a decade of regret.

9-12 IMO, but hard to make that projection without seeing much of his top age year due to injury.

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

It was moreso to comment on players around those picks rather than just 12,26,73 but it’s very much a trade that’s on the cards provided Clarke stays out of it. Port would definitely be looking at TT to replace Houston. Be interesting to see what they are prepared to pay with 13 to get to 8-10...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

Because I’d be surprised if we hadn’t already asked as it makes sense for both clubs and we’ve got good connections to the Bombers through Rosa and Vozzo. Will come down to what other teams are prepared to offer but the Bombers will trade both those picks.

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

Assuming we trade with the Bombers after a bid on Kako (28,31,46 for F2 x 2 and our F3) this is how I see the draft unfolding for us noting that we may need to trade 26 for the Bombers F2 as part of the deal. There’s a couple of picks that could have gone either way but they address what in my...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

According to media reports Sydney were willing to trade 19 and 22 for 13. Perhaps they had a player trade in mind but if it was purely for the pick that is a trade using 12 that is worth exploring should the above eventuate. Downgrading Hynes (15) to Gross (22) but keeping 26 would seem like a...

Resource FAQs: Rules, Regulations and Resources for Player Movements in the AFL

It doesn’t seem to be clear if a team can transfer a Cat B rookie to being a Cat A rookie after the national draft but before the rookie draft. Does anyone have a reference/link to answer that?

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

I think the appetite for the talls is going to be the only hope. Can’t see any side taking Hotton or Berry before Travaglia. Freo would probably take Berry but it won’t matter at 14. IF he gets past St Kilda I think it comes down to Shanahan being the difference between getting Travaglia and...

BigFooty Official 2024 BIGFOOTY OFFICIAL PHANTOM DRAFT

A lot to like but also think Luke has a very broad draft range. A team pulling the trigger in the 30s wouldn’t surprise but neither would him getting through to the 4R. Looked really good in stages at the champs, particularly early in the U18 clash vs vic country but then faded. Definitely needs...

BigFooty Official 2024 BIGFOOTY OFFICIAL PHANTOM DRAFT

The very back end of the season and the combine have killed the chances of WCE and Freo (and probably Geelong) getting some WA gems in the very late/rookie draft. Bit like us all telling Lance Collard to chill out last year instead of kicking bags for Subi.

Ough and Barrat going at 39 and 40 is just nuts. That and O’Farrell still being on the board is a testament to just how deep this draft is. All could easily have gone in the late first round last year.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Tom Barrass!

Yes. But he’s obviously chosen to stay and is all in on Hawthorn. Didn’t get too far down the line, just moved from absolutely not to let’s have a chat and see if there’s a path forward.

Great pick, especially after trading Duursma last year. Early in the season I was quietly confident he’d slip through to the rookie draft with a couple of other WA options. Don’t think there’s much chance of that now, especially post combine. Great athlete and a smart footballer.

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

If he moved back there it would push Harry out leaving Gov, JWilliams and hopefully Maric as a 3rd tall. Would be great to have the ruck flexibility in the D50 and allow us to play Oscar, Jake and Archer together. Don’t mind the sound of it but have no idea about his defensive craft. If it’s...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

Would be nice if there was an obvious shift to KPD but there is no way we could play Jack and Harry together as our two KPDs with their lack of speed. We’d get murdered on the lead.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Tom Barrass!

Let’s not forget we also handed over pick 63 and 68 which would have come into the 40s/early 50s in a deep draft or could have matched a Champion bid. I’d almost support Hawthorn next year to blow out your (our) future picks if it meant Clarke was given his marching orders before next trade...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

I watched most sessions last summer before Flynn avulsed his hamstring. There is no way on earth B Williams is selected before Flynn as primary ruck if both are fully fit and have a similar preseason until that injury. Flynn absolutely dominated him and gave the mids first use in pretty much...

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Tom Barrass!

It was HAW F1,F2,F3 for Barrass and WCE F4. Was a smart move to turn 14 into CARL F1+F2. Whilst we don’t agree on 14 for Barrass being fair we do agree on Clarke being stupid. The real killer in this trade for us is going to be if Carlton finish lower than Hawthorn.
  21. eaglevision

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Tom Barrass!

WCE said from the start that 14 alone wasn’t going to cut it and it was reasonable to hold our ground on that. I certainly wouldn’t have pulled the trigger on it. One of your players changing his mind from refusing to be traded to being open to it put a spanner in the works after early...

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Tom Barrass!

Not much to write home about there it’s just TB. Did an interview a few years ago where he said the boys called him the chaperone but haven’t heard any of the boys call him that since. Cheers for the well wishes. Matthew Clarke has totally f**ked our draft this year so not much to look forward...

You and me both. Lindsay would be best likely outcome at 12 but losing both pick 3 and missing TT is an unforgivable result.

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

We’ve just picked up Lindsay in the phantom draft after missing Travaglia by one pick. Great pick Monocle but like you I’ll be devastated if we miss Travaglia by a single pick.

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

It’s taken a while to land on when I’d want to split as opposed to taking a player but in order of preference for pick 12 I’d go: Travaglia Lindsay Trade 12 to Swans for 19 (Hynes) + 22 (Oliver) Berry Allan

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

I’d rather Hayes as a late/rookie pick than Davis ant those picks and I have big concerns on Hannaford’s tank at AFL level but otherwise a pretty good list. Would add O’Farrell (and Mraz pending new MRI/CT) to that list. Zak Johnson is hard to place in terms of pick range but he’d be another one...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

The club has up until pre draft list lodgement if he was going to be medically retired and open up a list spot. He had surgery quite recently so it’s unlikely (but possible) a case could be made for him to be medically retired before the draft. If he doesn’t respond well over summer and we need...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

I don’t think Tobie will be there. He is best case scenario, would love for Saints to pivot from what I’ve heard to a tall. I do know they think there will be some good midfield talent later on the draft which might explain the noise about trading one of their picks. Still expect them to take...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

Agreed. Smillie is actually a very good prospect athletically for his height. The results of Stumpf (2.815 20m) and Cochran (6:05 2km) are not normal for 196cm kids and in most other years I think more would be made of Smillie’s results given he’s in the top bracket of mids at his size.
