Ignoring everything else, if you made as much an AFL player why wouldn't you just hire your mate as bartender for the day, do a massive Dan Murphys run and hold your event at your house where everyone has to leave their phone at the door and you can guarantee privacy?
You know your actions will...
Was fun to watch at times, was so frustrating to watch at other times. Go well Jake.
123 games for 207 goals (so avg 1.68gpg for those who don't like maths)
2 goals in finals (both in 2021)
Leading goal kicker 3 times (18, 19 and 21), but only finished in the top-10 for the Crichton once (this...
"He doesn’t chase, he doesn’t pressure, he doesn’t help us with his preparation, he’s not professional enough, he’s not fit enough"
In that case you have to wonder why GWS would want him? Sounds like a lot of trouble to bring in
Using the scant info available through the Bombers twitter posts:
McGrath scored 86 points rounds 1-11, Caldwell scored 86 rounds 12-24
Caldwell had the second highest amount of points from rounds 12-17 (+43 tied with Merrett, Durham had the most) while McGrath was only +27
rounds 18-24 saw...
Glad he got to go out on top. Was so frustrating with the way it played out with him and Essendon (and so was his play at times), but he was a joy to watch when he was up and about. Probably has the most 'fun' highlight reel of any player for quite some time
Hope he enjoys whatever comes next
Got around to watching the GF replay on Kayo (was too busy talking shit on the day to watch most of it).
BT calling Chris Fagan 'Dennis Pagan' at 3/4 time was a highlight
I'm not a big fan of the brownlow, and haven't watched the full count in probably over 15 years at this point; so my answer would be change it from Brownlow Night to AFL awards night.
Instead of the vote reading by round have a night of highlights interspersed with Brownlow presentation, AFLPA...
Is there a reason that umpires don't get to vote on their own each game and instead have to form a consensus? With there now being 4 of them, and them all controlling different areas of the field, why not let them do their own 3-2-1 after each game?
It throws historical voting totals out the...
Funnily enough I was actually thinking of hickeybwith my original statement, which may have a time out (each team gets 1 but they are often used up before the last few minutes), but can have a bunch of stoppages (similar to AFL with out of bounds) depending in what is happening.
But my musing...
I'll say it again, AFL players need to look to the US and realise just how much can occur in the last few minutes of a game. They panic too much when there's time on the clock. US sports people tend to know how much you can do in just a few seconds.
And yes the clock not counting down makes a...
In theory he should work well as a HFF on the same side as Dursma on the wing. Jones can push up the wing as needed, allowing Dursma play defensively where required while still having a threat on his side. A lot of that is both game-plan dependent, and depends what the rest of the forward mix...
Knights was certainly not the option I would have gone with. It did seem at the time though that he was picked as a guy that could be 'sacrificed' while they worked out who they wanted next.
By 2006 you could see that the game had evolved away from Sheedy. He was trying to play mid-90s football...
