Yep its a bit baffling. Also, why is Pierson in the line-up? He's 32. Nothing against him but you would think that the keeper's role currently held by Carey will pass to Inglis (or even Phillipe) in due course. Pierson surely isn't anywhere in that frame?

Well that might be the case but as I stated, it doesn't make it right for him to claim the high moral ground over the Lords incident - which actually wasn't an incident at all. It was a legitimate dismissal, one that Bairstow himself had attempted previously.

Yep. I've got Botham's autobiography and he writes that once Peter Roebuck was given the captaincy, he immediately instigated to have Viv and Joel sacked which the Somerset committee backed him in. Roebuck was certainly an interesting character.......
