I don't think he will be calling the Test matches around the country. He mentioned something on his show a few weeks ago about being the "stand-by" guy if one of the main comms is out of action.
He's the best hire that Hutchy's made since he took over the station. I'd like to have him and Morris together on-air talking cricket for 14 hours a day.
Even his show with Cooney is good. Cooney has that slacker persona and doesn't take himself seriously at all - the two of them have a good...
October is the leanest month of the year on SEN. Those five sports/codes highlighted don't register a flicker for me. Horse-racing being the worst - dreadful stuff.
Not sure why Kane is still plugging away on Breakfast. What's he been talking about for three hours a day - the slightest bit of...

Does anyone think that Trade Radio is even close to being popular now compared with 5-10 years ago?
I used to be a keen listener - mainly because SEN is so dreadful during October (refer to the horse-racing and motor-racing discussion here) but Trade Radio is tough listening these days...
Would in reality have required him to move to Melbourne. Fox Footy always seemed like a better fit for Kane in my eyes, but he's said he wants to stay in Adelaide for family reasons etc. The role at 7 gives him more time there.
Just heard Andy Maher do a live advertisement with one of the betting agencies. The bloke is a walking talking contradiction - that's me being nice.
If there is only one change to the line-up next year, I hope it's that timeslot.
Can't see him going anywhere. He's only been there for a couple of years.
Does a shift of 1.5 hours a day, arrives at work probably at 4pm - 4.30pm, lets Kane do all the heavy lifting, gets to go on surfing holidays a couple of times each year.
I think it's interesting. Someone from this thread called, and got on. Put forward an idea and won a ham. Brought it to this thread (not the ham, the idea) and we're talking about something on SEN.
Anyway, so I listened to the Howie Games podcast on Kane Cornes. It was recorded about six weeks...
Cheers, I should have studied it more closely, and not on my phone while I was at the gym!
The selling point of your system is that it's pure knockout. That's a pretty strong argument, and many people will like that aspect.
There's a few downsides to it, but as I said on the previous page, no...
It's effectively the old Final 8 system, with a play-in round for the bottom two positions.
The second week is the problem, with the potential for lopsided matches, and probably needing to play 4 vs 5 and 3 vs 6 on the first two nights.
Glad you won the ham though.
So they're going to pay him megabucks to do one game, and a mid-week panel show that struggles with its identity.
I'd think they'll try to get him on both Thursday and Friday night games.
And 'Talking Footy' needs to return to Monday nights, if they're serious about doing more/better talk...
