If
Or Draper, a lot of mock drafts has one of them sliding, I don’t see it happening. I have a feeling Carlton wanted Draper the whole time and that’s why they’ve moved in front Adelaide. Richmond will take Jagga if he’s there at 6
if someone reaches for Armstrong that’s our best case scenario because then we might get a look at one of the gun mids and Tauru - or perhaps even better, 2 of the gun mids.
Seems counter productive to me, I know the kids getting drafted don’t want the mind **** of getting thrown around on draft night but surely it helps teams get what they need if they can trade actual players rather than speculate on who is taking who.
I think I know the answer is no but does anyone know the exact rule on trades on draft night. If north make their selection at pick 2 and then we pick Tauru at 8 can they trade who they selected for Tauru and something else, After the fact?
I don’t think Melbourne will take Armstrong but i don’t think we will either.
I think we should take Tauru if he’s there, if he’s not it means one of Langford, Smillie, Smith, Draper should be available. We take whoever it is at pick 7. It’s pretty simple and largely out of our hands.
No idea...
We missed out on the Essendon trade if we had pick 9 already it would be great.
Does anyone know if we offered a similar trade to Melbourne and they just chose to deal with them?
I feel like dealing with Richmond and getting pick 10 or 11 for next years first is a better trade for us.
Richmond reportedly want to even out their selections between this year and next and everyone thinks we’re shit so our future 1st must hold value. Getting 7,8 and 10 would really fast...
All in on this draft is fine with me.
Then try to nab Callaghan next off season.
If we get 3 players as good as Nas, Phillipou and Wilson this draft. We’ve got a core that could play together for 10 years.
Future first to anyone who has a pick 15-20 is fine with me provided it’s used on the...
Collard is going to be an amazing player in 3-4 years. He’s got really strong marking ability for his size along with all the pace and groundwork stuff.
Hope he feels more comfortable as a pro next year and beyond.
The draft should be next week and then trading still possible a few days later with new draftees tradeable. Would make it easier for teams to get what they want.
the problem with trading up the draft this year is you probably can’t tell if it’s even necessary. The two players the Saints rate #1 and 2 could still be there at pick 7 and 8. I doubt any club will be giving anything away about who they rate highest or might take so it’s impossible to know...
I’d say it’s entirely dependant on the Roos’ performance in 2025. If it’s another bottom 3 with 100 point floggings I’d say he’ll walk.
The ignorance around the compensation rule is mind blowing. His contract was always seen as borderline band 1. If Battle had played for Richmond and got the...
Lewis Young is serviceable, I’ve seen him play good games for Dogs and Blues.
He’s 25 and moves well for a 6 foot 6 dude. I’m sure he’d nominate us if we said Battle role is yours if you’re good enough.
That’s all well and good, but I don’t see why he made such a big deal of this at the B&F. It’s a bad look for the club IMO. By all means, go for your life to the head honchos at the AFL behind closed doors. The father/son is a good part of the game and it completely comes down to luck anyway. If...
