It's good to see the Saints playing this well. They're a decent side. It's funny to see the Bombers play this well. They're a pack of campaigners.

Stupid AFL questions you wouldn't mind knowing the answers to?

It's a signal to the boundary umpire that it's not Out of Bounds and that they don't need to run down to throw it in or set the mark. I think.

Autopsy AFL 2021 Round 13 - Swans v Hawks Fri June 11th 7:50pm EST (SCG)

Hawthorn have been far more determined and far better coached. I'd throw the chequebook at Clarko if I was Collingwood

Melbourne: what do we make of them

They're a good likeable side and I hope they win it. They should win it. But they're still Melbourne. You never know.

So the AFL's taking 'trickle down economics' to a whole new level!

People put too many toppings on pizzas these days IMHO. What ever happened to egg on a pizza?

    Tigers - 2017 Premiers

Yeah well done Tiges. You had the right mentality all week. Relaxed and smiling at the Parade vs. Uptight and shitting the bed on the big day. You also celebrate well and have a likeable team of misfits and guns.

    Overtime in finals

A silly question. If West Coast were 6 down when Shuey had his shot what would happen? As in the siren sounds, then he scores to level. Is the next step a centre bounce with both sides running the same way? Would they blow the siren again? What about if they were one down and he scored a...

Is there a 'tactics and strategies' board? I like discussing the game's tactics and hearing other's theories in ways that go beyond the matchups, effort and umpires discussion of the Game Day threads. Maybe even with a 'magnet board' proforma to explain things or discuss ideas. Like boundary...

    AFL 2017 - R22 - Adelaide Crows v Sydney Swans 19:20 ACST - Adelaide Oval

I found it strange that Adelaide couldn't construct a forward move in the last three and a half minutes. It was a game of momentum. I'm interested to know what tactics coaches use to stop the other teams flow. I know 'send XXX back', but there's more to it than that. Or is there?

    AFL 2017 - R22 - Adelaide Crows v Sydney Swans 19:20 ACST - Adelaide Oval

Yeah I agree with that. But tactically what changed? I saw Reid go behind the forwards to slow them down. I'm not sure of that's a good idea.

    AFL 2017 - R22 - Adelaide Crows v Sydney Swans 19:20 ACST - Adelaide Oval

Can we talk about the game without mentioning umpiring... just for a bit What's got the crows back in it? Did Pyke make a move? They seemed to have silenced McVeigh a fair bit. Heeneys decision making and disposal is substandard. His form is poor.
