For some unknown reason, Fox Footy decided to use this Carlton logo concept from 2011 instead of the official logo on their 'Predicted Lineup' post on Instagram. No idea how that could even happen.

Wow, I appreciate everyone who voted for me and everyone who managed to put together a portfolio last year. I was so amazed by everyone's response to my work when I first posted it. Such a great community here. Congratulations to Dyl for a great folio as well.

I'm back! With the news of Sydney's new logo I thought I would have a crack at making it realistic. I used the same elements as the old realistic Sydney logo. Think it turned out alright.

Here is my submission. It was a pretty fun project but I went though a lot of weird looking boars before finally settling on this design. Hope the competition goes well and the team gets a great logo out of it.

I couldn't find any discussion on the board about graphic design regarding social media posts by the AFL and the teams. I know social media posts sometimes pop up in threads discussing bad design, but I think it would be nice to have a discussion about the different styles each team are going...

So it seemed that the Geelong Advertiser fixed their mistake and used the correct Melbourne logo on Friday's paper. Then today decided to reverse the fix and go back to the old one. Strange

Just a little update to this portfolio. I've been experimenting with some motion graphic stuff and I've animated my Port Adelaide logo in AfterEffects. Might try to do all the logos, but no guarantee. Here is the animation in GIF form.

The penultimate logo! It's down to Essendon and the Western Bulldogs. And it is... Essendon The plane is realistic, but I don't think it would be functional. I'll be posting the Western Bulldogs logo in the morning. Hopefully soon after that, the desktop and mobile wallpapers will be posted.

Thanks, I agree. It seemed too flat. Here is the revised design. I'm struggling to come up with a design for the Giants. I don't want it just to be a single shape with some text. Here's what I have at the moment. I'm open to suggestions.

After many failed attempts, today I sat down and finally came up with a realistic Geelong logo I'm happy with. Here it is... Geelong As I mentioned in my last post, I was trying to recreate Geelong's secondary logo, but I just could not get it to work. Hope you guys like this one.
