<-- Uses pick four on Dayne Beams a few weeks before round one.
"Dayne Beams (quad) - 1-2 weeks" - From the injury list at the conclusion of round 1.

The back carnage last week forced me to complete that back 6 way earlier than I intended. I'm hoping to have a 'complete' team by mid-season, giving me the rest of the year to make smaller upgrades (Lecras to SJ for example) and work on solid bench cover (eg; Gray as F7).
Had hoped to work some DPP magic and swap Blicavs to Vlastuin but you can only hit the substitute button on one player in the trade screen :(
So much for:
Blicavs out -> Rowe switched from fwd to ruc -> Dwyer switched from mid to fwd -> Goodes switched from def to mid -> Vlastuin in.
Hoff -> SJ
Blicavs -> Gawn
Will probably keep Currie in R4 since Blicavs looks unlikely to make any more cash. Still leaves me Gawn and Rowe (via dpp) as cover and If Currie does ever play that is just a bonus.
I'll be keeping a close eye on Gray this weekend. He has scored 73 in just over...
I'm thinking:
Viney -> Evans
Stevenson -> Birchall
I'm worried about missing out on cash generation though (Mayes in particular), especially when I still have kommer on the bench. However, Kommer could be back next week so potentially not a huge issue to hold him (but it will mean missing...
The Kerr incident would have been just two weeks with a guilty plea had he not had carry over points so I think that penalty was about right.
For the Selwood one I personally think he should have escaped suspension due to the lack of decent vision and the ambiguity of the incident.
It is a...
I was 60 points up and had two players to go as did my opponent.
Then Carazzo was a late out - my cover was Lake and my opponents cover was Goodes (Carazzo was in his midfield)... Game Over.
The worst thing is my uniques still scored more points than his (even with Dusty's 39), had Carazzo...
Considering Franklin is up against West Coast (could match up against an in form Darren Glass) and coming off a poor game would I be crazy to bench him for Martin who is playing Port in Melbourne and coming off a big score against Essendon at the same ground last week?
It has been a crazy year In WCE BF Div 2, some interesting facts:
The 1st, 3rd and 4th placed teams by total points all missed out on the top 8.
The average score over the finals for the top 8 has been 2148.
The average score over the finals for the bottom 8 has been 2190.
My last three home and away games:
Round 17 - Northern Nutters.
Round 18 - nomorerookiemistak.
Round 19 - Healsville.
My three finals:
Final 1 - Northern Nutters.
Final 2 - nomorerookiemistak.
GF - Healsville.
Same three opponents in the same order...
I would go Gibson over Rocky.
I would definitely consider Gibson over Priddis but that is mainly because since I got him in he has sapped all of the enjoyment out of watching the eagles play. He never kicks it and it feels like every second handball goes straight up in the air (usually...
Kudos to Aaron Hall for delivering a ton as my emergency cover for Fyfe. Hopefully the knee knock in the last quarter wasn't serious.
After 3 goals, 15 touches, 7 tackles and some GC injuries he should surely cement a spot in the best 22 for GC and provide invaluable finals cover.
That said...
2273 with a donut from Waters. Pendles, Goddard, Martin on the bench (Ellis, Gibson, Zorko* were cover)
Swan captain.
*Will likely become my F7 with Martin becoming forward cover
At this stage I will be doing:
Devon Smith -> Sexton
Coniglio -> Ablett
These will be my last two trades until after round 12 (where I have Horsley -> Couch and Giles -> Sandilands (they should be just 65k or so apart) pencilled in).
841/9
Today:
Swan (c)
Pendlebury
Rockliff
Beams
Sidebottom
Deledio
Martin
Waters
Tomorrow:
Boyd
McIntosh
Hargrave
Lake
Monday:
Goddard
Would love to break 2300
My unique premium mids - Boyd (94), Rockliff (76)
My opponents unique premium mids - Watson (134), Thompson (128)
Meanwhile I will have Cogs effort on the bench making Rockliff's piss poor effort look even worse.
Decent start for me - 770/7.
Swan (c) - 234
Pendlebury - 133
Sidebottom - 114
Lake - 101
Hargrave - 94
Boyd - 94
I have a full strength squad after going Ablett to Swan.
I'm so glad I went both Lake (averaging 90 since round 2) and Hargrave (averaging 89) this year. They look to both be...
