No capping is one of the main reasons why AFL Fantasy Draft is failing badly. You get coaches dumping players regularly so that the Draft version ends up too similar to the Classic version. Draft games should at least try to be close to the real AFL.

45 sounds good to me as long as we put a limit of 5 or 10 free player pool trades during the season similar to the other 2 leagues. I can also help with running the league initially, but I'll probably have some dodgy mobile / internet coverage during this season as we're planning a lap of Oz.

Is there a way to have intercept marks rate higher than normal marks? That would benefit good defenders similar to spoils.

It would be a bit of a kick to see you get relegated Zim. 😁. The only issue would be to have less teams in each league (say 2 x 8 teams), otherwise we might run out of players.
