He has 6 more first-class wickets than Murphy from 5 more innings at a slightly higher average. If Murphy doesn't take wickets then Corey doesn't either.
I would pick Renshaw ahead of Usman. Usman has had agreat run in the team and performed exceptionally but he has looked done all through this series. He basically has no footwork any more. Renshaw had a pretty decent start to his test career, and was far from the worst on the tour of India...
And yet they both have 14 wickets this season from the same number of innings and Murphy has a better average and strike rate. Murphy has also been successful in Asia before. Easy selection really.
I kind of stopped listening to anything West Australian cricket fans have to say after they...
Todd Murphy and Kuhnamen were called into the SCG during the test for fitness checks and to spend time with the squad. On that basis, I would say the decision has been made that they are the two extra spinners to be taken to Sri Lanka. Peter Handscombe was also called in.
Looked the best of our batsmen today. I wasn't able to watch any of day 1 or 2 but was hugely impressed with Webster's composure and technique in a pressure situation.
Are you claiming Jy has never been in the top 10 to 15 players on our list? That would be complete bovine excrement.
I feel like Jy cops an unfair amount of disrespect in this joint. He is one of only 18 players in the history of our club to win the Syd more than once. He sets the standard at...
I think it's likely they both start in the VFL next year, and they have both shown the potential to dominate at that level. I think both could be solid players at AFL level but really need to reduce the distance between their best and worst performances.
At this stage, I figure it looks something like the below for round 1. Assuming they're all available except for CCJ and George, the AFL team looks much harder to beat and the VFL team looks potentially formidable at the level.

I agree it's a really solid sign. He has come back looking in ripper nick. There is no doubt that Will will leave no stone unturned in his efforts to establish himself as an AFL-level footballer.
Between COVID-19 wiping out his draft year and significant bouts of COVID-19 and Glandular fever...
Once they are at Arden Street it doesn't really matter what pick they were. You would hope a pick 3 turns into an absolute gun, but you make the best of what you've got. If that's being a role player, then so be it.
There are a lot of shit calls here by frustrated guys having a tanty. Yes, it is hugely frustrating result, and yes, we clearly need to learn how to capitalise on winning positions, but we are better placed than we have been for years.
