Not just in terms of money (although I imagine were about £10m in profit so far this season - hi mo :)).
Our squad is getting old. Ederson, Ortega, Walker, Stones, Ake, Gundo, Kovacic, Bernardo, KDB are all over 30.
It's hard to move on players that have achieved so much but I doubt any of...
Pep can spend nothing, coach the existing squad as best he can and hope that opposition supporters will rate him as a manager.
Or he can spend money rebuilding the squad for the future and replace players that have left or are leaving and have opposition supporters downplay his success...
Do you expect us to just stop operations while we wait for a decision?
We need players in January and no-one is going to know about the case before then.
I don't know why there's this desperation to predict the outcome. All will be revealed soon enough.
Every club would be providing financial advice to the playing and coaching staff.
And no matter how much people like to make out they're hamstrung by their owners and their poor downtrodden team is achieving against the odds there aren't too many clubs that would tell the manager who to play...
Most pressing need we've got is in midfield, but nothing yet.
I think for this season we probably could have got by with any one of defenders we'll end up getting. But with Stones and Ake struggling to string games together though a rebuild is needed.
Marmoush looks to be the Alvarez...
Pretty intriguing match up really.
I thought we were lucky to catch you at the start of the season before you started to gel.
Both sides have plenty of quality, but both in a bit of a rut.
Couldn't call it one way or the other. But an old fashioned slapping would be quite nice.
We've had a decent run, but nothing lasts forever. Still the FA Cup and champions league to play for, and top 4 will be great if we can get it. And hopefully back on top of things in the league next season.
From memory that was more about reducing the sell on we had with Sporting. Pay a bigger loan fee (not subject to sell on clause) and reduce the permanent fee (subject to sell on clause).
Suspect Sporting will find it much tougher to deal with us in future as a result.
Got our toughest run of the season coming up.
Chelsea (h)
Arsenal (a)
Newcastle (h)
Liverpool (h)
Spurs (a)
With a few champions league games thrown in for goos measure. If we can get through this run in around the same position we currently are, I'll be feeling pretty positive about our top 4...
