Any interest in Parker? Assume he's HF / Mid and 4th in CBA rotation behind LDU/Sheez/Wardlaw. Proven scorer, decent fwd and should get a CBA uptick from last yr. 85-90 would not be a surprise.
The already stacked fwd line is the worry
Seems like the optimal strategy early will be to use it for additional cash gen, with the line it comes from depending on how many rooks / value options appear on each line.
At a minimum will be pinch hitting up there when needed, similar to the final last yr. Don't really need risks like that at the price and prob means more variance so can be traded in cheaper
A bit like Yeo last yr, players with a high ceiling but injury prone def more attractive with the extra trades and less need to bye flip this yr with the spread. Very hard to catch the leaders late in the yr now
Yep I'm from the old school as well where trades were critical and every option was considered 30 times before hitting submit, it often meant running a scrub or two in the final team but teams had more variety as under performing premos had to be held. Obvs a higher trade game encourages clicks...
Oliver looks like he's checked out tbh, jogging around with no interest. His clearance and stoppage work is very concerning, doesn't seem to be in an under at all. His spread is poor, disposal remains poor and his ability to outwork opponents and tags is not there. With Trac gone if he even...
At this point cash gen is basically irrelevant for most. Trade ins are either bye cover or DPP links to set the team up with flex for the run home. Which is why Dawson / Dowling types are handy.
Ideally the team should have enough links that a 23rd premo can cover every position. IE a Shai type...
If Gulden gets you an extra 60 pts this week, Serong needs to outscore him by 6 ppg in the run home to make him a better pick. I think Serong has him by 10-15 per game so I'd be going that way
Got a whole bunch of dead / semi dead guys and topped rooks, need to start cleaning them out this week.
Graham
Rogers
Richards
Clohesy
Chapman
all on notice
1 more week from Sweet to cover Grundy would have been ideal, but it is what it is. Richards is one of those frustrating good decision, poor outcome picks. Pretty annoying given the cash gen he had in him, will prob move him on next week
Fair. Given how problematic the fwds are I'd prob rather sacrifice a fwd upgrade to get D1, and run with a Wilson type at F6. Or pick off a cheapy like Shai for F6
