Yep missing a few training sessions is the same as stalking and harassing women. Totally comparable.
The funny thing is though if it was someone on our list you didn't rate like LMac who had missed a few sessions for unstated reasons you'd be the first unironically calling to sack them.
Are we talking explicitly about the legal definitions here though? It's foolish to hold your personal standards to the letter of the law as they are by definition created to account for a wide range of scenarios and therefore have a huge amount of grey area.
In my opinion if you are choosing to...
Is that the case? Or just an assumption?
My point is that punching someone in the head can do just as much damage as glassing them so it's a weirdly arbitrary distinction to make.
Yeah we wouldn't want to spread any misinformation about the bloke only charged with assault whose victim was admitted to the hospital with lacerations to the head.
It's equal parts amusing and sad how the success of the womens team seems to be sending DuckYeah down the exact same spiral as Tef, the detached apathy increasingly becoming resentment and anger as they try to rationalise the underperformance of the men. Quite uncanny really.
It's all deflection and shifting goalposts anyway mate, almost pointless to try and argue as even they don't truly know why they believe the things they do.
These people were just comfortable in the world they grew up in and now that they are old, stubborn, and set in their ways are shit...
LOL I'm sure you would flourish ya hero :tearsofjoy:.
Just watch out for the "violent savages", though that should be a piece of cake for someone who has so steadfastly held the line against the horrors of a bit of big bad social progressivism.
I think it’s mostly just the internal bias that colours his (fantastic) analysis naturally leaning more towards the hopeful/positive aspects rather than taking a purely objective view.
The problem is there are **** all alternatives we can turn to for actual good objective insight.
I don't think many are passing judgement on the pick itself to be fair. Apart from a small handful most are wishing Mattlock nothing but the best and hope he becomes a great player for us. I think he will be and I'm glad we got him.
That is an entirely separate issue from how we acquired him...
Yeah maybe, but it was more a comment on the general overanalysis that goes on and the assumptions people make based off of individual images rather than in response to this particular pic of Reid.
I love the time of year where we make detailed assessments on players based on still images taken at various times.
A photo of a player mid kick/handball where the muscles are active and flexing = woah they are ripped/best shape of their life/training the house down etc.
A photo of a player...
Raise the bloody draft age then so they have a chance to develop some ****ing maturity and appreciation for how the average person lives before they walk into a career earning 6 figures while kicking around a ball for 20 odd weeks out of a year. I know we were the beneficiaries in that case re...
What are we Carlton? Where are we getting all those extra funds from? We're a strong AFLW side because we've been putting in the legwork for a long time, long before most of the other clubs saw the writing on the wall and jumped onboard.
The gaslighting done by the media on this is nothing short of incredible. 2 for 6&10 is a win for the tigers, 2 for 10&11 would be outright robbery, yet in both of these scenarios somehow WE are the ones not offering enough?
I don't care how "even" this draft apparently is, the narrative that...
If it's only being broadcast to us Aussies I'd be fine with it. The fact that Sky are biased isn't the issue, it's that we are being forced to hear it as non British viewers.
A totally neutral feed would be great but probably isn't realistic.
