Remember when the addy had the the best footy preview in regional Victoria. It would have comprehensive write ups of local leagues.. with senior, reserves and 3rds line ups.. the occasional best 25 BFL players. Took me all morning (sometimes would carry into Sunday😁) to read. Ahh the good ole days

Unfortunately times have changed and clubs now recruit for under-age teams... especially if they play in the 'major leagues', and if it is in the same league, clubs are always chasing success and having quality players is the key (obviously 😆) I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but I'm not sure...

May I ask what league is the team in, and what league are the 15yr olds playing in?

Or is that a sign that all clubs are struggling for junior players and now have to recruit them. Probably more that than the points system.

Is it though? Maybe the last part. Going to the local (or AFL) footy doesn't have the draw it once did. I remember when i was younger if i wasnt playing, and i didnt attend a game of footy, it was a wasted weekend (loved having a bye, going to a saturday game then GV would regularly have sunday...
