That’s fantastic. I have another admission. In 85 the granny got too much for me at 3qtr time. I think we were 27 points down or something so I went outside and started kicking a footy at the nearby cypress trees to relieve tension. Was in total disbelief when my old man came out cheering and...
I agree. There were times last year when imo Jake and Langers got in each other’s way. I won’t lie though if he manages to win a flag at the Orange club I will be happy for him. I’m also pretty excited to see what Kako will bring to the team.
My boy is the best! He ain’t practicing because of his deficiencies! It’s because of Bryan’s deficiencies. If Bryan is a better ruck than Draper is abettor footballer! Shots have been fired’nn
Take my word or don’t take it. Dylan’s old man was a pretty good ruck in the old VFA and a hard critic when it come to his kicking! I was the one who said said last year that Tsatas could make a a career with his hands’ I believe the same with Dylan. Him playing the way he did at the back end of...
My top ten players m the 80’s gee whiz. I seen Madden he is my number 2 but I’m sorry I just can’t put him above JH. Agree with the assessments of that you could put madden all over the ground as a big bloke to stop mark and create. I have to to put J Hird 1st!!! In his early days he was good...
Don’t know where else to post this and I’ve sat on it for a while because it’s pretty much old news. I talked to the Stringer camp and he did want to stay and Brad wanted him to stay. I can confirm from their side that he wanted to secure a second year and Brad really wanted him to stay. The...
Mr Mickleborough who lived up the road showed me the mags around the 50’s when Coleman got rubbed out of the GF. As an Essendon fan it’s sensationalist and hard reading but if our sport was global it showed to me that he would have been an international star.
TD when I met him was a lot taller than I thought he would be. I asked him of the story when Vanders waltzed into someone’s house and fell asleep after one of the mid 80’s flags. He stared daggers at me so I knew it was true and I think it was because there was younger people there and he wanted...
I’m glad someone finally mentioned him. Not the best but gee he was good. Loved big Rexy’s calls of smoking joe. He was the calm headed ball pig in the middle. Not flashy but gee he was serviceable. Not a huge mid but owned that centre square.
No disrespect to Terry but I thought he would have been the best of the bunch. I also thought Anthony was massively underrated in his prime. In his prime he was nicknamed the Forward Freezer! Dad always called Chriss the ugly duckling but he was serviceable and was an important cog in the 93...
His marking has definitely improved over the last year. I think it’s more about minimising the brain fades. It makes sense to him to be training up forward if they intend on playing Bryan more regularly.
