Argh is there anything worse than deciding to fight the urge to watch the tradies working on your house, only to find they've done something horrible when you check it out?
At 300g to 500g gain per week, 2kgs is definitely achievable in a few months for a noob. 2kg of body weight isn't the same as 2kg of lean muscle mass though.
It's insane. I'll see if I can dig it up but I remember reading an article from high performance coaches where it basically argues they do too much, has adjusted the way games need to be played, and ends up self-selecting certain 'types' of players, typically leaner, taller types.
(1) Not relevant to this convo.
(2) Having a light sesh is absolutely sport science.
(3) They're there to get together and have a light run around.
(4) I can imagine that, and so can every other sport in the world where they manage loads like this.
(5) Doesn't matter how much money you pump into...
We're not giving them leniency. Sports science has moved on and now everyone except ya local league understands that more isn't always better.
Two hard sessions on the track a week. One more light one just to get some touch and flush the legs out. At this time of the year, they are also doing...
Look, in my younger years, I used to hold what I now consider very sh1tty views. Even then, the only significance I attached to this particular date back then was that it pissed off the 'other side' to my politics.
I am grateful that I do not hold those views anymore. With an epiphany of...
Great work mate. Whenever you think you're done and getting too skinny, if you ever have that thought, push through another few kgs. That's when the striations and muscle shape really pops.
The overwhelming majority of Muslims are normal everyday people who simply want to provide for them and their family and have a peaceful, safe, prosperous and secure existence. They are your neighbours, your doctors, your lawyers, your construction workers, nurses, delivery drivers, chefs and so...
Big middle finger to those who say you can't train speed.
Back at footy tonight and after six months of absolutely busting my arse I've gone from being the slowest in our midfield group (aerobically best or second best) to second fastest.
I'm middle of the pack now aerobically so it has come...
Wouldn't worry too much about the leg mate. You can get all your strength, balance, rate of force development, plyometrics, etc. within 5% symmetry and your leg can still look flipping weird for years after a big injury.
Update.
Have been through 3 sessions now. They're intense and take it out of you. But they reveal a lot.
I'm feeling the best I have in a very, very long time.
I'm sure you'll do very well!
For what it's worth, if you still want to shoot footy, a lot of local comps and clubs pay people (it's not a lot but at least some remuneration) for game day flicks.
They normally put the call out via their socials.
