I truly hope our forward line is spending a lot more time with each other at training, particularly the smalls working off the talls better. If Moir and Motlop and Williams (who can go up another notch) bring it in 2025 then we can turn the 4th best forward line quite Quickly into the 1st.
4th best forward line in terms of scoring in 2024. That’s with many games missed by Curnow and McKay and others (Fogarty, Motlop, Williams). I’d hate to think how good it could get with Motlop and Moir showing up in 2025. From all reports they are currently training really well.

Sad sad new. I wish him all the best with recovery, however, it’s probably career ending as he will be returning as a 33 year old. Time to blood the next HBF, come on down Cowan, Wilson or Lucas.
This would be an incredibly entertaining GF. Carlton and Freo have become somewhat rivals recently and always close games. The neutral supporter would love it. Carlton to break a 30 year drought or Fremantle first ever. What’s not to like.
Started the season very slowly but still kept getting games. We’ve put a lot of development and time into him as a result. Second year blues would almost be true but he came good late in the year. I see him as a third year break out contender. Half back will be great for him as he can run a lot...
Kemp can also run. Elite endurance for his size. Gets up the ground and back again. Would love to see him pushing up to a wing while forcing his man to sag off with the two key talls we have.
1: home and away wins - 16
2: finals - GF appearance from there who knows
3: top 3 in the Brownlow - Walsh (winner), Cripps, Jagga
4: debuts - Haynes, Jagga, Wilson, HOK
5: leading goal scorers - Charles, Harry, Motlop, Williams, Moir
6: breakout players - Cowan (a new level), Motlop (2...
Lord is there to take Hewetts role
Motlop to replace Owies after an injury year which you mentioned, BUT…
Jagga and fit Walsh and Cerra are huge improvements on ball.
Curnow to be able to run again and with a more damaging forward line having either kemp or JSOS back in the side to force...
If it’s true about Russell and how poor he was for us then we are about to see a huge rise in performance of our club. If it looks similar then we know it had nothing to do with him. I’m a firm
Believer Russell was not the right guy after about 4/5 years with us. Leadership was his strength and...
Last attempt before it starts ramping up after Christmas. I’m trying to include players that are either locked and important cogs or players that have had a high amount of mentions in the off season.
B: McGovern Weitering Saad
HB: Hollands Haynes Newman
C: Acres Cerra Smith
HF: Durdin McKay...
Skills will be off while their new power and explosive fitness regime kicks in. They’re all carrying more weight. There bodies would be a little different. They would also be carrying muscle soreness due to the strength training. Always harder to hit targets when your strength is either a little...
I called this mid last season. Ollie was looking a little bigger, causing him to suffer a bit of second year blues being an elite runner. He couldn’t get to as many contests early. Then it started to improve late in the year. Breakout is definitely on the cards. I’ll be starting him in SC...
