I'd say every club goes after the big fish and most likely talk to all the decent players who are OOC or looking to move clubs. The only real difference is that we are a destination club that has landed more than most clubs. When we are linked to good players like Rowell etc... it gets taken...

Yeah I don't expect him to come in and be plonked straight into the guts and be that guy to win clearance after clearance. Smith's 1-wood is his outside running. He is a grinder who runs all day long (obviously crazy fit with zero fat on him). He should be a handy cog in the rotation for us.
