So we look to improve it using all the tools available to us whilst maintaining a level head. Trying to fix non existent crises tends to lead to exactly the opposite.
I think the club is doing a decent job of balancing both objectives and Leppa seems to think we can continue to do so. TBH I’m struggling to see the crisis some seem to think we are in or is immanent in the near future.
Well got the result I wanted congrats to Lions. Longmire needs to own his selections and some of his on field decisions. Parker on Harris-Andrews and playing three talls including an injured Logan McDonald but in the end the Swans best just didn’t stand up when the pressure was on.
Early pressure will be key for Brisbane I feel. If Swans skip ahead I think they might be too good. However I think it’s been mentioned that the Swans have been poor in first quarters across the season. Hoping for a good match with Brisbane pipping them at the death.
Thanks for that. I don’t watch a lot of non-pies games so defer to those that do as far as trades go. Given your analysis I reckon a Bergman type would be a useful pick up.
I somewhat agree though if by mid-sized you mean around the 187cm-190ish range I’d like one of each outside mid/wing/back flanker with a bit of pace and marking ability.
Houston would be great but I feel we might struggle to offer enough. I’d try and prize Bergman out as part of a Richards...
Quite serviceable, thanks for posting. Think I’ll look at some footage and see who he’s matched up on recently. Was keen when he left GWS from memory but hesitant for some reason at present.
Edit: don’t think he is a key back which is what we’ve asked Frampton to do.
Hardly seen him since early days at GWS which I can’t really remember. I felt Bruzzy looked a bit banged up last year and would like some depth with some of Maynard’s traits, physicality, marking ability etc. We seem pretty well stocked for small defenders and Ryan seems more like a Markov...
Agree. His versatility is actually what appeals to me and as you say he should get his chance to get more midfield time down the track if not immediately.
Re Perryman: Whilst I think it’s fine for him to seek more midfield minutes if I was his manager I would be encouraging him to also express a willingness to earn those minutes and a willingness to be adaptable if it leads to team success.
Those posters here who have been following him seem to...
Fair enough though the draft is just a different gamble than trading. FWIW I feel that Hine has been in the role too long and would like a refresh in his department. Hopefully Leppa shakes things up and it sounds like he will take a fresh look at our approach which I welcome.
Good player and I do get a fair bit of enjoyment watching his post goal antics which I just find stupid and there’s always a chance he’ll be the first player to trip over his own tongue which would be funny. Go Brisbane!
